I had a fun weekend putting things on my MINI.
-Cut out my escape pod stickers from a spare vinyl sheet
-Installed Whalen pool ball shifter and Redline shift/ebrake boots
-Changed the Cooper to Pooper
-Painted mirror caps pumpkin orange
As far as I can tell the lights are still going to shine through okay....going to test it after it gets dark out to make sure!! I want to get different side scuttles, but not impressed with what there is out there.....so for now this will have to do!!
Yesterday, folded down the rear seat and picked up my 355'' chevy block and crankshaft from the machine shop. Nice fit!
WHOA! Did you use a cherry picker? how did that fit? My brother had a bit of a time getting his e34 engine in the back of a grand cherokee, I can't imagine trying to do that with a mini!
Oh wait, I first read that as the whole engine. Still pretty cool.
You do not gain any space by removing the motor and wiper
Wouldn't it be nice if someone made a replacement boot panel for the wiper delete so you *would* gain that space, since it's a big lumpy bit in the middle of the boot door?
I pulled my Bonnet release, heard a pop and the Bonnet did not release I read on NAM that this is an issue, not sure how wide spread, so guess I will see my SA tomorrow and see if she can squeeeeeeze me in
FINALLY! installed an aux audio input from outmotoring. I did it during lunch time and it worked like a charm. I really feel I'm part of the 21st century ....hehehe.
Picked up my custom (from my initial design, with my friend Shannon's awesome tweaks and final execution of that idea) rally stripes today from Beaver Stripes in Phoenix.
Hopefully will get to install them before the weekend.

I know that feeling. I did mine (along with a euro parcel shelf) a little while back. Now I can play MP3s and Google Navigation's voice instructions through the stereo. I wonder if there are alternate voices for the Google Nav app....
