Today: shaved some clutter (wiper) off the back end, nice n'clean.

...the wiper has just been a dust collector...since we don't seem to get rain here in TX anymore

Today I have decided that I hate any kind of vinyl wrapping

but here it is...
3M carbon vinyl and plastidip on the downtubes/cupholder

It looks really good. What's the secret for getting around all the curved areas near the vents and gauges? I've got my vinyl waiting around for me to get over my fear of screwing it up. I tried doing my mirror caps but I just kept getting wrinkles.

You have to be very strategic with a heat gun and you need alot of patience.

Ditched the run-flats..
Well, not today, but a couple of days ago. I got rid of Max's Continental Run Flats for a nice new set of Goodyear Eagle GT's. Wow what a difference. No more skipping, sticks better, smoother ride. Only negative is that my mileage seems to have gone down about 2 mpg. Its only been a half to 3/4 tank so far, so we will have to see.
Max also got a nice bath.
Put on our clubs badge. "Redwood Empire Mini Enthusiast's". Looks Great.

Got some MINI goodies last night and this morning.

I put on the CF boot handle today. Hopefully put the NM swaybars and end links tonight.

MiniBOL - any chance of a good profile pic of your MINI? I don't see too many cars with the R105's... not to mention that looks like a good lookin' MINI.

Here's a photo taken about a month ago. I like the R105's, i was thinking of getting another set but not the black ones. The one's I have now have a lot of curb rash

I'll try to take some solo ones this weekend & probably with other MINI's.

I like the silver R105's, too. But the black works for yours - definitely post the solo shots and if you ever get the silver, post those too.

I'm always thinking about my next MINI.

Hit 1000 hours on my Openometer
in only 674 days since I picked up my MINI. 1 1/2 hours a day average.

My sweet, talented, patient, husband applied my C3M MINI Motoring club decal. NO ONE said it wasn't one piece....he did an AWESOME job!!!! He rules!!!

Preventive maintenance
On 8/4 I installed strut tower plates, new front brake pads, and replaced the passenger side motor mount. New to me 2006 MCS with 46.8K miles.

I changed out the coolant expansion tank on my 2004 MCS this morning. It was leaking and ready to be replaced. Unfortunately, I found that I'll need to replace the ignition coil soon. :D

Got my stereo installed last week. IT ROCKS!!! 80 mph (on the track of course...lol) with the sunroof open and windows down and I can CRANK it up and still hear everything clearly.

FINALLY, a decent stereo!
