I had the one-ball done early last year, and though it doesn't sound terribly impressive, the car performed like it had finally coughed up a hairball it was stuck breathing around. On top of that, when not driving with performance in mind, it got better gas mileage. Not bad for the $30 it cost me. The "poppy" deceleration is kind-of a bonus, IMHO, giving it that "old sports car" burble. I've since moved on to a half aftermarket, half custom exhaust, thanks to snagging a smoking deal on the rear half of what I was told was an RMW exhaust (I've never seen one or even a picture of one, so who knows...) from a member of our local MINI club.

I'm gonna have to look up some green LED lights for my interior--those pix from your car look really cool....

C ya,
Dutch

the kit ran me 50 dollars at https://www.ledunderbody.com

I bought the 6 piece flexible interior kit and used 2 on each side and 1 in the middle

I agree the one ball mod however bad sounding made my car run way smoother

dealership did regular 14000mile oil change, flush brake fluid...I can never get out of the stealership without buying my Mini a present..got checkered valve stem covers. They look great against her new black wheels! Never sprung for them when she had her chrome alloy wheels...

Besides they were on sale...couldn't resist...

Also got to see the new Coupe up close. Wow, NICE! Also confirmed Horizon Blue is no longer a choice for the 2012's...I feel special

Backed into a stop sign pole in an alley right next to my house and put
a big dent and tear in the rear bumper skin. Bumper itself and everything
else is just fine.
The side back window was still frosty/misty and I just didn't see it.
Arrrgh stupid stupidity.

Next step will be a new rear bumper skin, take it to the body shop to paint,
then will replace it myself. I have $250 in MINI Moolah rewards on my MINI card
which will just about cover the part, but the painting is again as much.

Yes gonna be doing the hood in flat black vinyl and painting some Mr Bean and Teddy cartoons around the car. Also got a cool paint idea for the wheels I should have done by the end of the week and gonna paint the roll bar to match. Yes getting the chair on top of the convertible will be difficult but I'll try it. Then I'll be driving around looking for that 3 wheel blue wagon to run off the road I got so many honks, thumbs ups(I hope they were thumbs) and smiles today, it was great.

Thank you it's all about the smiles
I tweeted about the car a few weeks ago and Rowan Atkinson himself was interested to see the final car, maybe I can get him to take it for a drive Mr Bean style.

Just so long as he doesn't wreck it like his McLaren F1!

Cool car, by the way--love the color on it and the whole Mr. Bean tribute idea!

K, so it's a few days late, but I got the plugs and belt last week to go along with the pulley and tensioner stop cable I've had hanging around since shortly after MitM. Hopefully will get them installed at the local club's "Tech Day" in a couple weeks, along with the K&N springs I have had sitting around for a while now!

C ya,
Dutch

Lovin' Mr. Bean ^^^^^ there! Cool.

Got my first TPMS tire ding - nothing earth shattering about that, but I was stoked to see that my dealership did some updating when the Kid was in last and now it tells me which tire is low. Every time that thing went off, it may as well have said, "Hey, you've got a low tire, but YOU'RE GONNA HAVE TO CHECK ALL 4 OF THEM YOURSELF TO FIGURE OUT WHICH ONE IT IS!"

It is really shaping together now! Are you going to paint the horizontal bars on the grille black as well?
