Finally got my winter wheels on (Friday) and took some daytime pics today. Brand new Bridgestone Potenza Grids so tread is very meaty.

Glad I decided to powder coat these black - much better than silver.

Hey, Albie, I just swapped out my RF's for all season Conti's and 17 " Enkei black rims (Love). Haven't had any real winter weather, yet. How does your Mini handle in snow?

This will actually be the first winter on something resembling a snow tire... The Grids are M+S, not a true snow tire, but better than the *summer performance run-flats* that came stock. They were pretty bad in the snow and really didn't see much of the flaky stuff - I hop in the Jeep on those days.

I'd love to see those Enkei's, BTW...

Thanks, betting your winters are just a tad worse than mine. I have the black Enkei EDR9,s and just love them, compared to the 16" 5 star blaster chrome alloy that came stock with my Clubbie. Gives her a fierce look. Don't have capability to post pics, as I haven't figured it out on my iPad, but if you pm me your email I will send a pic! Way proud of em! Attending my first MOTD! Wooohooo!

..that powder coat looking good...that black does give some good depth look to those wheels!

what size are the tires? ..they do look pretty meaty! ..snow expected there soon?

no snow predicted in central Tx area anytime soon been in the 70s last couple weeks.

i guess we'll see, i found out today (through wishful thinking) that it'll drive in sport mode upto "4th gear". so i can still drive it to and from work but not on the highway. i think i found a manual from a local salvage yard for around 600 bucks (early manuals but better than dead auto)

Yesterday I spent about 2 hours taking almost all of my aftermarket parts off. Which, are now in the marketplace

Next things to come off are the coilovers and the rear sway bar.

Are you planning a replacement?

I gave mine a rest today and drove the Odyssey BattleVan to work.

it looks good with the chrome washer trim, it breaks up some of the chrome on your fogs and emblem

First oil change

Oil Change interval came due...got a case of Mobil one, the (invaluable 36mm short socket) and a filter.
Things went swimmingly until I started to replace the filter. Too big.
Went to bumper to bumper who whipped out the proper 3" filter...trying to find out how I screwed up, I had the parts guy look at a variety of other year Minii, one was even smaller (about 2") but couldn't find ANY mini that used a 4" filter.
If anyone has Mini that DOES use this size, holler and I will send this un to you a a gift.

contact: dickprice@bigfoot.com as I am still a newbie here, and still get lost.

MiniBOL, perhaps use some window tint film on the chrome washers so they match the headlight tint, otherwise she's a lil' crosseyed IMHO... I'm not one for tinted headlights, being a form-over-function guy (mostly). It does LOOK good, just functionally ya gotta get that Joey Mod going and get away from the tints.

What did I do? Drove slow. On purpose. It's weird, the mini also drives well, when driven slow. Easier to hear the H/K.

My MINI is my DD, so I'm going to have to get something cheap that I can drive everyday. I'm hoping to have the JCW sold by the end of March, I'm not really pushing it yet.

The coils and the RSB haven't been taken off the car yet, they will be in a month or so when I have the time. Everything else is in the marketplace though.. besides the painted trim.

Little bit of liquid ice and it is all pretty now.

Going to let it dry for a week or two in the sunny south fl weather and wet sand it to a show room shine.

Came out great for my 1st try
