^^^Probably should have let it cure abit before putting on the Liquid Glass. That seals it and it won't have a chance to cure correctly. It may work, time will tell.

Replaced my crankshaft position sensor yesterday then removed my S/C this morning to check the fluids. Surprisingly, even at 84k miles, the fluids are still topped off and has a clear/green color.

The leak from the crankshaft position sensor has made quite a mess on my engine so I spent the evening yesterday cleaning it with a steel brush. Looks nice and new now!

I've got 205/50/16's also and love the look. Car isn't lowered but it feels a bit lower.
Got any pics.

Yes. I am running on lowering springs about 1.25 inches. I'm also running 205/40 series tires, lowering an additional .41 inches. Overall, so far the drop is just over 1 1/2 inches.

Next up, 5mm wheels spacers.

Looks good. Man I don't miss that winter weather one bit.
Love that red. Looked for a used one when I bought mine but all I could find was the sparkling silver which is Ok. It's got the redwood lounge interior which really sets well with the exterior color. IMO.
Anyway, when it's dry you'll really tell the diff. in cornering with the shorter and wider stance.
Good motoring.

Kirby11....12 hours to dry should be ok. When I did my fuel cap in flat black I think I let it go about that long. Looked like crap until I sprayed windex on it. Believe it or not it really worked.

Those do look great. Might be my choice for my next wheels. (They will need to be powder coated black or dark bronze though.)

What I did to my MINI today?
It was unseasonably warm (Upper 60's) so I took off my M7 wing and went to my buddys body shop. The wing looked good on the car before, but as soon as I started blocking it all the waves in the CF and fiberglass where visable and I saw how crappy the thing was actually finished. It took me a few hours to get the blade of the wing down to somewhat level, but tomorrow I am going to hit it with some clear and block it down some more. I still have 2 big waves in the carbon that I want to come out. The fiberglass base wasn't as bad as the exit scoop was to do, but it was still a bit of a chore to get flat. I had to add some filler under the base where the brakelight is because of a few nasty waves that wouldnt come out. More sanding tomorrow, and maby some pics if I think about taking my camera.

Got my 3M/Mini Motoring Graphics vinyl dash decals in the mail. I decided to install them and ended up with mixed feelings.

Negatives: no instructions/tips included. Two of the pieces ripped at the vents while removing the paper. As another person said, the decals are about an 1/8 of an inch too small to cover the whole dash piece, though by the time you apply/take off/reposition/apply/reposition/apply etc. it stretches a little bit. The graphic on the three panels doesn't line up correctly.

Positives: the sticker is cool looking. It seems pretty durable (except on the super thin parts like vents).

It probably took me an hour to finally get the decals on. It is a lot easier to put the decals on with the dash pieces off the car. Be careful you don't break the top tabs off the center piece (mine broke, but not off). I also had to rip a small part of the rubber boot around the top of the steering wheel to get the piece off.

I think it will look okay once the viewer gets past the mis-aligned stripes. The center piece is lower than both the end pieces, so it is the one at fault.

I dunno, $75 for the three piece kit and shipping didn't seem bad, but I wish it lined up better.

^^^Just don't say anything about the misalignment, nobody will even notice unless you say something. I've got things on mine that aren't perfect but nobody ever points them out so I'm OK with it.
Oh, it doesn't look bad....not sure if it's my style though.

Second, a while back, I was looking at mine on the back and was considering replacing it with a chrome one, haha! I never ended up changing it, though. The grass is always greener, I suppose!

I like the way the stars look. But your right about the lines not matching up. I don't know if I could get past that. Couldn't you have lowered the sticker on the right panel so it lined up with the center panel?

BTW - I love that skull shift ***. What is that?
