I FINALLY gave Molly a much needed Bath!! Used Griot's Garage Heavy Duty Wheel Cleaner for the first time, it's like Sonax Wheel Cleaner in that it turns Purple when it's cleaning, worked really well, no complaints. Started off with Wheels, then Griot's Garage Car Wash, to Dry I used the blower feature on my Stinger Wet/Dry Vacuum. To finish her off I went over her with Griot's Garage Speed Shine...she's L@@KIN' Mighty Spffy again!!

Before...

I had already done Stage 1 of wheels before I took this pic.

After...

I withstood the below freezing temps in my garage and washed Giggles with my Griots Spray Car Wash to get the salt off. Then also treated the vinyl exterior trim. She's all shiny once again....

With the snowboard attachment off it should be less, but the bars you have will still create noticeable noise at highway speeds even with nothing on them. I know those are factory MINI bars, but THULE makes a new bar called AeroBlade and it's incredibly quiet. Shockingly so. The old AeroBar was too loud for my tastes. (AeroBar is/or is very similar what the MINI is using, just with a different foot pack. I know that BMW uses THULE for most of their rack products.) I am not sure if the new AeroBlade works though with the MINI kit, I haven't explored that yet. I will come spring when I want to start taking my bike out. :-)

I work for THULE, but I swear the AeroBlade is quiet, not trying to make a sale here, lol. I actually don't even work in sales. ;-)

I had my recall water pump put on yesterday. It now feels like my mini has been de-turned. I have lost that kick in the pants fell when going up the gears. Everything is smooth. Just no push you back in the seat. Has anyone else had this?

Check all your connections. When I had something repaired recently the dealership forgot to put the plug back in the recirculation valve. My car essentially lost all of its power. What sucks is that the dealership only checks for codes and won't mechanically go in to find things. They even went as far to say that they couldn't find anything wrong and it was "up to MINI spec." As soon as I found this issue and connected it though, it was back to awesomeness A world of difference.

Good luck, whatever it may be!

Funny, I was thinking the same thing but didn't want to sound stupid. I guess it wouldn't have been dumb. With the amount of electronics on these cars I can see where 1 wire off could mess things up. I would have thought your mechanic would have been a little more thorough when re-hooking things up.

I opened the trailer door and said hi to my poor Ramsey. Hopefully over the coming weeks some rain will wash away the salt on the roads and just maybe I can roll him out into the daylight.

Ramsey needs to be seen! He is beautiful!

Been pretty mild down here in Maryland, so Giggles has been pretty happy and somewhat salt free. Spring is around the corner!

Awwww thanks... I'll tell him you said so.

Been very mild up here, but he's still not coming out till the roads are washed. Don't tell him, but I'm kind of having fun with the new truck I got while he's hibernating.

Taking Mary Jane in to get the fan assembly today. I woke up to a completely dead battery. Fan won't stop and thanks again forum for helping me diagnose the issue and how to disconnect the fan until I get into the shop.

You have to be going near orbital escape velocity to get the attention of the local constabulary in the Atlanta area.
