I used the windshield wipers for the first time! Not really happy about it though. Looks like I'll be washing it again this weekend; if it warms back up around here...

Happy birthday Miss Molly! You don't look a day over three but now we know your secret if you're having some elective work done on your rear next week.

Managed to finally get my new wheels installed this past weekend. They had been sitting in boxes for a few weeks, but I had to wait for the weather to get better before taking the off the factory wheels with winter tires for the pilot super sport and the new Montegi SP10s. I still don't quite understand how these wheels are "hyper black" but hey I guess I just don't understand my colours.

I like it a lot!!!
They look a lot like my Enkei EDR9's. I looked at those Montegi before settling on mine. I might give 'em another look if I decide to go back up to 18".
Looks great!!

Just ordered a set of the Black Motegi SP10's myself for my Summer Tires. I don't know why they call them Hyper Black either, they're more like "Gunmetal" - Let us know how they're performing.

Video of the sound?

Got the rest of the chrome (minus inside the headlight) blacked out.

I not super excited about how the stuff that I dipped today came out, so there's probably paint in the not-so-distant future.

Peer pressure... LOL

My '05 got new shoes today. Bridgestone Potenza G019 Grids to replace the Michelin Primacy run-flats. I was hoping to get a few more miles out of the Michelins, but when I rotated them yesterday I noticed that besides being down to the wear bar, the one tire was starting to unravel. Not good!

Looks great navy nuke! How did you do? I've had the countryman out autocrossing three times. Never had been before buying the mini. I'm so addicted. Just put on the nm springs and ordered 17x8 wheels with 235/45/17 Dunlop star specs. They will be here tuesday. I'll post pics from next Sunday's autocross.

Hahah, god I feel like Star Specs are an autocrosses iPhone, EVERYONE has them! (except me... just like I don't have an iPhone..)

I did really well, the course had a lot of really tight elements, I finished third over all but was the only stock class car sub-60 seconds.

1. Modified Evo X 56.6
2. Modified Speed3 58.7 (I had him by a few tenths right up until his last run haha)
3. Stock Cooper S 59.4

Everyone was was 61+, there was an older WRX wagon, one of those Civic SI hatchbacks, Mitsu 3000GT, Volvo 780, an Accord, and the closest to the 60 second marker of the rest was either the WRX wagon or this sweet MazdaSpeed Protege.

Good luck next weekend! It's definitely addicting

The pic with the quarters is GNARLY! I have the G019 Grids on mine as a winter tire - I like them a lot. Especially how the sidewall has the bump just before the tread - holds Armorall very well.

Took off the mirror caps, and began plasti-dipping them. They are the bare caps. No paint or primer on them at all. They were that way when I bought Bernie, and the are starting to look a little grey. After one coat of plasti-dip, they looked a million times better. I'm gonna put on at least 5 coats tonight, then I'll take some pics before and after I put them back on tomorrow. So far, so good.
Starting to envision other things being plasti-dipped!

Took him out to play in the rain with 3 other MINIS. This picnic table was looking rather menacing and we were taking no chances.

What did I do today??? I just paid mine off last month!!!! yeah!! This happened yesterday
Left work early and got a text from my sister-in-law, she locked her keys in her car. I go up to her house to see if I can get them out. Leaving, i pulled out of her driveway, cars were coming but I had plenty of time. A big black truck passed the car infront of him and me. Then a jeep grand cherokee tried to do the same. By the time the jeep was next to me she lost control and side swiped me. She spun out and hit a tree. I was OK luckily but they had to cut her out and take her to the hospital.

The kicker was the black truck was her boyfriend and they were going less then a mile to drop off his truck at a garage. The jeep belonged to the girls boyfriends mother. I just mapped it out it was 0.3 miles from my siter-in-laws to the accident site. Funny thing, on the police report, the bf is one of the witnesses. He told the cops that the guy in front of him was going like 20mph in a 45mph. The guy he passed confirmed my story. Even the cop said and pointed at the jeep "she wasnt going 20mph with damage like that"

So i hope its not totalled.....I'll just lay down and bawl.
