What did you do to your mini today?

Removed my AZNOptics LEDs in the license plate and city light locations as they were giving me bulb out warnings. One of the rear lights failed completely (2nd warranty replacement) and the city light units at the front were dropping their resistors. I had to MacGyver the dropped resistors out of the headlight using a multi-tool and first aid kit bandage tape.

Anyways they are obviously not a good fit for constant-on locations of the MINI. Will see if they give me a refund or replacements I can use in other locations of the car.

The eject sticker was a bit of a pain too, same problem curved surface.

Whoa! What are you doing there?
Here's what I did this weekend. Got rid of that chrome grill and replaced it with a JCW Black one. I also Plasti-Dipped (Yes, I know the "Cheap" way of blacking out the car) the trim. I like the look of it and eventually, when I can save the money to get them vinyl wrapped.

Throw out bearing is starting to make noise so I'm tearing it down for a clutch job. Also installing coilovers, SS brake lines, replacing green gasket on the SC intake horn, and replacing my oil pan gasket as there's a verrrrrry light weep.

I noticed my exhaust pipes were a little low on my JCW Cooper. I jacked up the pipes, zip-tied the donuts to close up the center airgap and raised them up about 3/4". All of a sudden the angle of the exhaust tip fits exactly the body contour and is centered in the bumper cutout. Well see how long the zip ties will last but this was exactly what I was after. My CLubman was perfect from the factory by comparison.
Walk0080 In your eyelids try a 13 element LED and stay away from ones with resistors if you can (thats what I am using in my gallery shots). Different years have different sensitivities to this bulb. A 2009 wont throw a bulbout, a 2010 might. Not sure about the 2012. I am waiting for them to come out with a 17 element that's the same diameter as a 13. That would be perfect probably for all years.
