What did you do to your mini today?

fix that might save you some $ and you probably have some in your kitchen.
I remember someone posting on "Road fly" (330i forum) that peanut butter
works. I thought it was a joke. Tried a small amount on a black trim spot that
I smudged with wax. It worked beautifully!

How about a pic of the bumper protector installed.
Installed one of those really-good, made in the UK, rear bumper top surface protectors that Bavarian Auto sells. With that, and a PoochStyles blankie-liner that I ordered back in March, we should be equipped to give our GSDs the ride of their lives! Well...one at a time, anyhow!

While waiting on the clutch, I started installing my SS brake lines and coilovers. Got the rears done. Once the front end is back on, the rest of the coilovers and SS brake lines are next. Also drilled a hole on top of the rear strut tower to install the damper extensions so I can adjust the sensitivity without having to drop the rear coilovers.

I'm still recovering from the shock, but this is what I did TO my MINI today (every roof-mounted biker's worst nightmare).
I've been mountain biking for years and never imagined I'd do this, but on a post-ride high, I was too eager to pull into my garage (while jamming to OAR's "It was a crazy game of poker") and ran my bike into my roof's overhang. Bike has minimal damage, and that's because the crossbar feet popped out dragged alongside my roof, while my Thule bike tray buckled and gouged/dented my rear roof near the hatch.
The white stuff is paint/wood from my house that snowed down on my roof and through my open sunroof...YES, I had my sunroof open ,with my bike nearly two feet away and I still forgot.
Here's to hoping a competent PDR, touch-up paint and buffer will save the day.

I am so sorry. Your day seems to have been worse.

Sorry to hear that.

The ride is a bit stiffer than the "sport" suspension it came with, worth the trade for handling at that point. The drop is pretty suttle, about 1/2 inch. Never really had trouble bottoming out.
I am looking to go with coilovers this summer, though. I'd sell the JCW springs/shocks, but they've had a long and tiring life.

I'm really sorry to hear your story. I've never looked into a roof rack because I know for sure I'd do this. I hope it's all cosmetic and doesn't cost much to fix, car and bike both. You have my sympathy.

"Sunny" has over 47k miles and it was time for some updating. Last month's PA state inspection showed the front brakes were about due for replacement. So last weekend I started changing out parts and, hopefully, improving my ride. I installed/replaced the following:
1. Mini Turbo Oil Line Heat Shield
2. Helix FMIC
3. NM Engineering Torque Arm Insert
4. Koni FSD Shocks & Struts
5. Front Brakes, EBC Red Pads w/ Zimmerman Rotors & pad sensor
6. Rotate Tires
Got finished this evening, brake pedal pumped up fine. Took "Sunny" for test ride, got a front driving light out, everything else is good. Drives fine but I will be making an appointment for a front end alignment.
I was driving my '96 Explorer w/ 170k miles while "Sunny" was down. Boy am I ready to have my favorite ride back!
