What did you do to your mini today?

Removed and installed new stripes on the front of our MINI Cooper S. The original ones had a bad case of road rash. Was about to put on the the matching stripes on the back however they looked green. We ordered black front and back. Making the call tomorrow and having them resend whole set and we'll redo the front again so they all match.
Oh and yesterday we took my Cooper for a ride along the ocean with the dog... fun little drive.

Last week, I had my timing chain done (I'm only at 80k, which would be early for most timing belts - thought chains were supposed to hold up better ). Yesterday, I tried to take out my headlights to eliminate the egg yolks, and a couple of the bolts just spun and spun... Looks like it'll have to go to the shop to get the bolts drilled out...
Sigh...
Sigh...

K, so it was yesterday, but I drove up South Mountain to the end of TV Road. Lots of nice twisties....
Today, I drove 2 miles to a new dentist that I think might actually get my business again in the future.
C ya,
Dutch
PS: God Bless Vicoden....

Actually Monday, 5/28...I'm always a day or two late posting these.
a. Clicked over 4,000 miles since delivery on 3/28, averaging 34+ mpg
b. Used some Prima Amigo and my PC to smooth out the swirls I inflicted when taking off the tree sap / honeydew I collected on a windy day at work.
c. Installed a Mountex CD-slot smartphone holder. Looks like a good solution so far; it does make it a PITA to get to the "mode" button (that's one they shoulda put with the other SWC's) but not unworkable. Otherwise, very visible and a good spot for it. I've got one more to try: suction cup RAM mount on the windshield left of the driver. I'm left-handed, so it's easier to change Pandora stations / get a traffic readout / whatever when it's on my left. I have lots of RAM mounting parts from the motorcycles, I'll fool with arms and holders a bit and see if that's better.

It does as well as the driver can drive for sure. The stiffer nm springs make a big difference, as did ditching the run flats. I have only been autocrossing this season, but I'm as addicted as anyone out there.

My husband is getting worried about what I might take apart next.
ETA:
Well, I have the answer.
I went to run an errand and everything was fine heading out.
When I returned to my car and started it, I got a warning signal.
It looked distressingly like a transmission warning at first glance, but turned out to be an exterior light bulb failure.
Checking out the lights, I find that one of the daytime running lamps is burned out.
I can't see that it has anything to do with taking the orange lenses out, but my guilty conscious tells me it's my fault.
Anyway, off to try and fix it...

Gave it a wash this morning. Then gave my engine some love with a seafoam treatment and oil change. Spend a good portion of the afternoon trying to figure out my boost issue. I used to be making a consistent 18 psi with my tune, but ever since I took it out of storage I have only been able to make a peak of 14.4, with spikes of 17.7. Hopefully the issue can be fixed with a full tune-up, I don't want to have to replace my turbo at 36K miles.

Today...tomorrow what's the diff ?
Ordered some detailing products from our Phil at Detailers Domain yesterday and the package arrived already !
Can't wait to try this stuff out. If it even works half as good as I have seen on his threads the MINI will be looking fantastic and I'll be making less trips to the auto store for mediocre detailing products
