Didn't do anything to my MINI other then open the bonnet and wipe down the engine bay. But....my daughter's "Justa", now that's another story. As she said to me "your giving Lolla a route canal!!". Well almost. Upper motor mount went bad a couple of weeks ago and the replacement came in this week. Not a hard job but if you don't have the right stuff it can be a disaster.
I had everything but the E12 tork socket. And I thought I could get away without it. Not a good idea. After attempting to use a regular socket (10mm, an almost fit) and buggering it up it was a trip to Sears and an investment of $35.00 in a set of Tork sockets. After that it was smooth sailing. Now I have had practice for when the one in my MINI goes.
After that it was off to the side yard for a bath to sooth the recuperating "Lolla".

Today: Installed seat heaters from an ebay kit for $100. Big Thanks to all those who at NAM who posted how to's and advice. Specifically OWL ,Anitan1, and OaklandMini.
Came out Great.
Interior clean out after at least a year if complete neglect.
Makes me want to take my seats out once a year just to clean.
Installed new toddler car seat. Way easier when there are no front seats in the car!
Pulled out and washed the cabin filter.
Last week, AMsoil Nanofilter, JCW airbox flap delete (flapectomy). I actually may put it back in, time will tell.

Yesterday while on my way to meet up with PDX MINI after getting lost twice, Molly turned over 49,000 and after 206mi. of Twisties and a good amount of more driving I am still smiling and had Molly's 22mm Alta Rear Sway Bar moved to Setting #2, anxious to see how that changes the handling!!

this weekend: wash, rain x, trim restorer, cleaned windows, detailed inside.
also finally got my GPS, reverse camera Screen, and digital gauge cluster mounted, and wires ran. super PITA btw, to run wires from the dash to the roof.
now my roof liner is hanging down some on the drivers side :(
this is due to partly me messing with it, and bc some time ago i left my sunroof open, then lots of rain. the roof liner is only hanging like an inch or 2, so hoping either some elmers glue or rubber cement will do the job, as theres not enough room to use spray adhesive.

Obsessed
Didn't actually do anything but wash it this weekend (like every weekend), but continued to obsessively research best looks and mods. I am still looking for the best mods for "daily drivers" that just want to have fun going to and fro. Am thinking the two best might be sprint booster and rear sway bar...

Clutch slave cylinder, let go for no apparent reason after only 6kish miles.....
going to buy a slave for a 92 s10 after work and mod the hardline to fit. to hell with minis pos plastic Slave(75 dollars) time for a GM slave made of iron that only cost 15 dollars and should never break again.

It was actually yesterday, but... I traded her in...
A sad day, but two reasons for the decision.
1) She was costing me an arm and a leg and still had many kinks to be worked out with $1,000s already spent.
2) We just need a second family moving car. It's hard with two kids to own a Mini and not have it be a third car. It worked for us for a while, but just got harder and harder to do....
I will miss the twisty commanding handling and super fun factor, but not the bills... RIP Cyndi!
