I will save you the trouble of looking for the parts and just tell you what I did. We were originally using this system for private airplanes, but we modified it so it would fit in the Mini.

I dropped Nudnik off at the repair shop today.

Today or tomorrow (my guess is tomorrow....) the warrantee company's inspector will look/listen/sniff the car and decide if he agrees with me and the mechanic that the transmission's going, and they're going to pay for a new transmission.

If he agrees with the mechanic and I, it'll thankfully only cost me the deductible ($200) to get the thing fixed.

C ya,
Dutch

Took mine into the stealership for the cold start death rattle, transmission noise, and a broken boot latch.

Had the hood scoop replaced for the 2nd time at the dealership. Interested to see how the new material holds up this time.

Black grill trim

I got the black JCW grill trim today from OutMotoring. It only took a few minutes to take the chrome trim off and install the black trim.

I think it makes the grill look bigger. I'm leaving the chrome trim around the headlights, 'cause it make them look bigger, kind of like a surprised frog!

Mine went to the body shop today for an estimate. Someone backed into it last week and took off. Fortunately a good Samaritan got the license plate and I filed a police report. Not too bad but the plastic over the right front wheel and the marker got trashed.

Picked Nudnik up from the mechanic today. The warrantee company approved my tranny replacement, but it won't be here until Thursday, so back he goes Thursday morning. Friday afternoon I should have my new transmission, and all I pay is the $200 deductible.

What a relief!

Found plasti-dip locally and blacked out most of my chrome. It's not perfect, definitely a few spots that will need a touchup, but looks decent from a couple of feet away. I have another can, i'll do a better job masking and remove the tape BEFORE it dries next time. It tried to peel off in a few spots :/

Decided to not do the headlight rings today, not sure if I will or not.

Alta Upgrades..........

Filed the Intercooler Coupler clamps for better fit and added new set of red couplers from Alta.

Installed Alta's JCW Replacement air box filter too....sounds most excellent and added some butt torque as well.

After 6 months of waiting, I finally got the RMW tune. I also got the flash tool at the same time since I want to be sure I'll be able to get the latest and greatest tunes without having to drive another 800 miles.

The tune is incredible BTW. My bone stock MCS gained 32 WHP and 13 ft-lb of torque. The torque doesn't fall off after 3k RPM either, it stays above 220 ft-lbs until 4500 RPM...it's a totally different driving experience now.
