2) Installed a passenger-side sun visor (removed grab handle).
Nice! I did the passenger side sun visor on mine too. Wifey has much more use for it than the grab handle. Picked it up from a local used MINI parts. Also got to replace my "really used up steering wheel" with a pretty new leather and black MFSW steering wheel off a '12 MINI.
Yes it does. Night and day. I have put on mods before where you say, hmmm yeah I guess I can feel a difference...with this you would have to be dead not to notice. It is that dramatic.
Today I did the clay bar treatment to my Astro Black 2006 JCW Cabrio. Wow, what a difference. It is so smooth now. Then I waxed it with some full synthetic Maquires. I then installed some Red Kingsborne spark plug wires. Happily the mail man delivered a set of rogue eyes. What a happy day!
BTW I installed the 3 and 4 plug wires and as a result, the car sounded terrible when I started it and the service engine soon light came on. I fixed the wire issue and disconnected the battery for 45 minutes hoping the light would reset. It did not. Does anyone know how to reset the light?
Had put new Alta 22mm sway bar on and realized how puny the end links were. Realized I really have to replace them. New ones arrived in the mail today, so installation this weekend.
swimbaxter, light shoulr reset after a few duty cycles, or head over to Autozone (or the equivalent) where they should be able to reset the light with their OBD2 scan tool. Harbor Freight had an OBD2 scan tool available not too long ago on coupon for <$50 too.

engine light will go away after 5 cycles of no errors.
you know that frase that go out of the frying pan and fall in to the fire, yesterday i fix my brakes problem, so in the night i went to some drag street racing, the car is working just fine i did 10 runs , then my friend show with his cooper s and tell me that he have some new mods on it and he like to test it with mine , ok i said, we get in line and set off ,the first two gears i was wining untill disaster came up , when i shif to 3erd my revs went up and no power, in my mind i think "there goes my f#$$% clutch" , so it was 2 or 3 in the morning, and was thinking all the work i have to do on the car, so this is how my day ended
Started the process of "fixing" all the little rock chips on the nose with a newly-acquired touch-up paint kit from MINI of Tempe. Got lots of work left to do, but at least the nose is all green again. Once it's really well dried, another round of basecoat will hopefully fill 'em all a hair past level, so they can be wet-sanded with 900 grit down to level again, and the clear coat added....
