Put white 6" viper stripes on the boot to match the bonnet. Now it looks finished!

Hung an Invidia exhaust. Skeeters nearly carried me away, as I was finishing up.

We have had our 06' MCS for about a month & we decided to take out the center arm rest. We felt it was just in the way. We like it a lot better without it. Now you can reach into the back seat & floor board easier & there is more room for our little shitzu to lay on a towel placed over the emergency brake. We got the instructions off of a DIY link on this site. Love it...Thanks for all the help & good info my mini friends!

I placed a deposit on my inbound MCS that should be at the dealer lot within 10 days. Oh, and I've never even driven or ridden in an MCS.

I picked Nudnik up at the shop today with a brand spankin' new transmission and clutch. The trans was covered under warrantee, so it only cost me the warrantee's deductible, and they threw the clutch in for the cost of the parts. They even washed and vacuumed the car for me, too. Nice shop! Babbitt Motor Werks, if you're in the frying pan, er, Valley of the Sun....

The new clutch is settling in nicely, and the pedal effort feels noticeably less, as a lot of folks on the clutch, flywheel, and transmission threads have noted. Nudnik's putting noticeably more power to the pavement too, without a bad input shaft bearing dragging on everything....

C ya,
Dutch

OBX R exhaust. The Ebay dealer said it was a catback. It wasn't . Spent about 4 hours with some family taking my old pipe off, cutting it, connecting the pipes, and there's an exhaust leak that I have to fix lol. Well, at least it was only about $300 with shipping Sounds AWESOME too

Took "Red" by the muffler shop this morning. After 1/2 hr and $35, the one-ball sounds nice. Has that little burble when you let off the gas.

Waiting on an Alta CAI. Should be here next week, just in time for the weekend.

Well then congrats on the new exhaust. The one-ball sounds much better than stock.

Will Say All This Prep Work was 70% of the install

Painted trim around 06 Grille last week with OEM DS paint, clear.
1-wash car with dawn detergent
2-remove one wiper and plastic trim collar
3-remove three scoops, bonnet and cowl.
4-clay bar bonnet bumper
5-wash car again
6-wipe down with alcohol and water mix.
60 bucks worth of vinyl, with enough to finish off the boot. But a new style of rear bumper is on the way so boot stripes will have to wait

Lots of blades, and some re-do's, some hair dryer heat, some done dry some with water and soap. Came out great, I'm happy, no bubbles

After letting my touchup paint dry for a full week I de-blobbed with Langka. The repaired areas are dull compared to the factory paint - I didn't use clearcoat, and am hoping when I wax in a couple of weeks that it will be more uniformly glossy. All in all, I am thrilled with the results. From a few feet away the car looks gorgeous (except for a few dents) and even from 6 inches, the repairs are not glaring. In fact the really small chips are pretty much invisible! I'm glad my paint is not metallic.

Will the Langka work the same on the clear coat as it did with the paint Krishnika ?

We are having a club PDR, front bumper road rash and paint chip repair day and this product was on my radar for this event.

Thanks.

Put on Lyle's dry carbon fiber gas cap. That'll do it for de-blinging. BTW, if Lyle hadn't sent that video, I'd be SOL on getting that cap off!

Well, on advice from OctaneGuy I decided to skip the clearcoat part, but apparently it works on it as well. I was amazed how easily the paint comes off leaving a very smooth surface, even after a week. If you're gentle you can polish it down to exactly where you want it with truly no effort. I had less stellar results with the larger funny-shaped scrapes - the edges of the repair for some reason are a little bit darker. But the one that is the least successful is very low to the ground on the driver door and there should never be a face within 6 inches of it!

Gray.. Really like your stripes. Look great. I am going to remove the dual stripes on mine and do something different.. I have to run a stupid front plate so would loose the nice looks of your style of stripes. Jim

Thanks, Could always get the license plate bracket which screws into the front tow hook hole. It would then put your plate off to the side near the pass side fog light.

The darker areas I am thinking could be the new paint sitting ontop of original clear coat that was not in the scratch itself ?

This sounds like a good kit. Gonna give it a go at the demo. Thanks

+1 I really love this look. I especially like how you did the emblem. Very nice touch!
