What did you do to your mini today?

Ah, cold AC again. I would not mind about 10 minutes of time to give the guy
who picked the placement for the expansion valve a piece of my mind. Other than that a fairly easy install
compressor and drier are easy to get to just did not want to risk that the expansion valve did not have junk hung in it after the compressor ate itself alive

Well it was yesterday but....
Tried out my new Autoglim valet kit (pretty satisfied so far), then drove over to the city.
Tried fitting different strollers in the trunk as we want to keep her around
Then drove to meet our local mini club for the first time and add a blast with them!
Met some real nice folks who are about has crazy has me about the Mini's It was fun.

After practicing on 5 or 6 friends' vehicles, I finally introduced my MINI to my PC random orbital. Took out most of the swirl marks that the dealership included free with my purchase!
I have a couple spots that could use a little more attention, but it was getting late.
I didn't bother with any pics, as I only have a crappy iPhone for a camera.

Installed the used, cracked top engine mount that I got for free from Jerry @ Eurotechs, because its rubber innards were less cracked than mine, and mine was cleaner.
Cut the majority of the innards out of mine, leaving just enough of the two un-cracked rubber supports in place to locate the center bushing, capped off the bottom of the empty bushing, and filled it with 3M Window-Weld polyurethane.
I'm going to have to wait a while for it to cure, since my oven's gas, and it just seems like it would be a reallllllly bad idea to heat the thing in an oven with an open flame.... I'm sure sitting in my garage through the heat of a few days ought to be enough for it to cure.
I wish I'd had another one around to fill, as I had a little more than half left of the tube of Window-Weld....
I'll report back after it's cleaned up and installed, with pixs of the final product and such....
C ya,
Dutch
