General MINI TalkShared experiences, motoring minutes, and other general MINI-related discussion that applies to all MINIs, regardless of model, year or trim.
Scheduled an appointment with Flow Mini in Winston-Salem to diagnose and fix my p1477 service engine light :( . This represents an abject failure on my part to fix on my own. I already replaced the Leak Diagnosis Pump inspected everything and have now officially punted. Sad day but hopefully the dealership will earn my hard earned money and prove they are worthy.
Mine does not. It gets wet and dirty and I have to wash him the next day and I can't put the cover on during the day or it gets wet and... ugh it's just not fun.
Plus I live in LA so it rains dirt. This is Pip after 10 min in a light drizzle. From spotless, to a gross mess.
Installed a new armrest yesterday in my R53. I got it from Mini parts Mass in Peabody, MA. They are always great to deal with. Thanks to the entire staff!!

At least it's warm enough to wash your car. Not only is it dark when I get off from work, but it's been consistently below 50 degrees all week. My poor baby hasn't been washed in over two weeks . I've got a date with him tomorrow though, temperature be damned
I love it! Why is it that we mini drivers feel the irresistable urge to park next to huge vehicles? If I see a Hummer taking up 2 spots, that's where I'm parkin', baby!
Parked my MINI out in the rain. Reason 1: it needed a bath. Reason2: figured the cool rain would help cool the engine after a VERY SPIRITED drive to work this am!
Holy cow! I've had "Sheldon" for 6 months, but I just looked under the tail pipe and she is a girl! Bit of a biker-chick, but a girl all the same. Gonna have to get a new name.
I just finished getting Tackleberry ready for another car show tomorrow. I hope the weather holds out. It has been cloudy and cool. Great car show weather. This event is raising money for the local American Diabetes Association. This one is close to home because Diabetes and Kidney disease runs in my family on my Dad's side. It is always good to participate in an event when it is for a worthwhile cause.
