Oh and I just got my final suspension pieces cleaned up and ready for install. Koni Yellow, Vorshlag Camber Plates and H Sport lower control arms! Paired with my current TSW springs
It wasn't today, but about a week ago. I got a set of winter tires and wheels. Now my car is squirrely on grooved highways. And we probably won't have another snow storm this year...
i noted the same when i installed the winter tires on my 2012 cms all4
the tire pressure was at the OM specified 32 psi front and rear
upping the pressure to 40 psi front / 35 psi rear fixed it
i increased in stages
over 35 in the rear made it loose and oversteer
so far the tires are wearing evenly and the handling is much better
I spent about 6 hours replacing the leaky Crank position sensor O-Ring under the SC in my "new" 2003 MCS! Wow! What a job! Removed both front tires, fender wells, front bumper cap and bumper then pulled the radiator and AC evaporator....for an O-Ring that cost me $1.36. I went back in with a Viton version from Industrial Rubber and Gasket in Nashville TN. So far, so good. This was a really good way to get to know the car, but I would have rather had a longer courtship before we go so personal!
Surprisingly the BT is actually useful on the R57. I wasn't expecting it to work at all, but at slower speeds people don't have any big issues understanding me.
After getting ticketed for an overdue inspection brought him in for that, an oil change and swap on his winter wheels. Sadly, the oil change revealed a leaky water pump. I've heard of water pump issues before - just wasn't expecting it at 71K.
Made the decision to never buy another MINI again. The air bag light came on today and can't bring myself to spend $1,500 to have it fixed. This was two weeks after I replaced the thermostat housing. I feel like I'm the owner of another subaru.

Talk to the dealer, as certain items are covered well beyond the standard warranty (rust, emissions, and safety items).
