I bought it used in April with most of them, it is my daily driver so I log about 30 a day. It was 67 on Saturday, gotta love Missouri.

spent some hours tidying up wires in my engine bay, trying to find this new rattle between what sounds like the dash and firewall :(
broke my gauges oil pressure sender :(

one step forward, 2 backwards.

Do you have an excuse (vacation, sick, in the shop, etc.)? If so, you may still be a good person.

No, I don't... I've been driving my Focus because the damn thing needs to be driven at least once a day with it being this cold. Doesn't want to start... A one year old car. And it can barely start, but a Mini with half the battery fires up like it's 65* outside. You can't explain that.

First try. I'm gonna peel off the green pinstripe and redo it again tomorrow. What a pain in the ***. Cutting the shape in the rear was TOUGH. Water on the car BTW. Never again. My fingers hurt.

All the parts finally

Actually installed last weekend and back on the road Monday, all 4 wheel bearings, rear control arms, rear motor mount, header, catback, power steering fan, Radiator support, bumper support, radiator, condenser,AC compressor,AC lines, Front bumper, new grille and new steel skid plate.

Well just before Christmas on her way to our daughter's house. My wife spun the mini out on some Ice and smacked the center curb at about 35 to 40mph. Planter strip in the middle of the road. She was about 3/4 of a mile from her destination.
Minirox took full impact on passenger side front. The air conditioner compressor took the major impact. It hit so hard it shattered the lower rear motor mount snapped the exhaust at the cat, dented the compressor pulley. Took out the radiator, condensor and the steel skid plate bent up and took out the power steering fan.(Love that steel skid plate it absorbed a lot of the impact) And the whole front clip also know as the modular front end. Also blew a rear tire. Yet Minirox was still able to get my wife to her destination.
To make a long story shorter. My insurance adjuster screwed up numerous times. 1)started taking it apart to fix the car, without my consent. 2) Had ordered numerous wrong parts, without my consent. After my reveiw and corrections he finally did a true evaluation and ended up totaling the car. I bought it back. He had it towed back to my house and the tow company lost my key.
Not to worry Minirox will be back on the road soon and all my spare parts I have collected over the last 9yrs has saved a ton.

Installed black mesh grill and blackout belt line from Outmotoring, painted the grill trim, HL and TL trim. Think I'll get the clear scuttle lenses next then do the wheels and boot handle in the spring. In case your wondering about the tow hooks they're kayak tiedowns for this fisherman.

How difficult was it to install the blackout belt line? I want to get the redline, but if it appears to be too much of a p.i.t.a., then I'll take it to a shop and let them do it. Plus....it's disgustingly cold right now in NYC.

Taped plastic over the top of my passenger door window, to keep the drizzle/rain out.

Thankfully, I had gaffer's tape, which leaves almost no residue, and I was able to configure the plastic so that I only had to tape onto the moonroof glass, windshield, and side window glass--no tape on paint!

New window regulators Saturday....

Dutch

Belt line pretty easy, just took about an hour. Keep the top lined up and the bottom falls into place. I hesitated to do this today because of cold but couldn't wait. Figured if I screwed up its only 12 bucks.

Seems pretty simple...Thanks. I'll order both the red and the black. If I don't like the red, I'll just take it off and put the black one on.

chasing a fluid leak, so...

yesterday I changed the thermostat housing, thermostat and gasket; changed coolant; changed crankshaft position sensor o-ring; changed oil, filter, and drain plug. First time putting MINI in service mode (to access o-ring). MINI is a relatively simple car to work on once you remove what seems like half the engine bay Fun times.

Man, it looks pretty good from here... maybe a little squirrelly on the left lower part of the boot - but other than that, it looks awesome.

I installed a set of KC Apollo driving lights last night. This is prolly one of the best things I've bought so far, they really make it easier to see at night.

Taped a bag on the passenger winder again expecting rain today, and got none.

New winder regulators tomorrow, then no more bags and tape....
