MINI is in for turbo oil line change. Was just starting to leak. Having the dealer do it. $$$$$$ but have no choice at the moment, haven't found anyone independent to work on it yet. Also right front axel seal was leaking- that is getting fixed as well. Better get some overtime at work soon.

Took my Clubman down to Helix13 for PowerFlex Control Arm Bushings and some codes done - Close Windows with fob when locking the car, hazard flashing Euro style, Fog lights stay on when using high beam or flashing hi beam. One touch sun roof open and close... will have to come back for that soon.
Loved the way my car feel now, composed and direct steering without wobbles.

I cleaned the moonroof window, and the Zippee Shade still won't stick, so I ordered new suction cups from them via their website. In a few days, I'll have nice, new suction cups to hold it up. I wish I'd've looked for them last week, as we are getting a little mini taste of summer this week: 90+ until next week!!

Installed JCW Tuning Kit
Just got JCW Tuning Kit installed to my 2011 Hot Chocolate MCS.
It's MY2011 model so the kit includes the manifold. MINI SF guys didn't even know the kit existed for 2011 model, and weren't much interested in really finding that out for me (of course I knew it existed). The guy literally told me "I'd call MINI USA to find out if such a thing exists if I were you" so I said thanks and left.
I called around and MINI Concord guys (both parts and service) knew about the kit, the master mechanic has done the installation on their 2011 MCS on the floor. Labor cost was high for MY2011 kit because of the manifold, but they brought down the price both on the parts and labor for me.
Enough about the dealer story.
I LOVE the performance gain she got and she purrs real nice now. I'm sure getting a factory JCW car would be fantastic (Kit spec is about 8 points lower hp and torque compared to factory JCW), but I'm intending to keep my R56 for a long time, and I'm actually liking the fact that she's still remaining cute and cuddly on the outside without aero parts and large wheels, but she's got some nice punch when I ask for it from the cockpit.

$85 for scoop saver!? I SAY NAY!
So i was reading terrible things about melting scoops. I went to look for a solution and the NM-ENG saver was $85. I decided I'd do it myself.
Bought some thermal tape stuff on amazon for $18 with prime. Ordered at 4pm and it was at my house 10am the next day. Can't complain about that
It could be neater, and i will probably cover more of the hood, but I think this is fine for now. What do you guys think?
