Well, on the docket for Boris today=
Scuff and shoot the wheels and roof Gunmetal gray to offset the astro black
NM torque mount bushing
Aaaaand 35% tint.

And make an order for my rear sway bar, stubby antenna, and a few oil filters

Picked it up from the dealer following its Last Official Warranty Visit (Original delivery 3/21/2009), knock on wood.
  • New aerial (cracking/splitting rubber base)
  • New left and right fuel senders (inaccurate fuel gauge... second try)
  • New rear swaybar bushings (rear suspension 'clunk')
  • New radio (wouldn't come on a couple of time in freezing temps when car started)
  • Free wash

Installed the aem intake. Car feels different. I miss the turbo noise from my old intake though.

When a cone filter/open filter is on, the car will lose a slight bit of low end power but gain bigger on high end power. That was my conclusion.

Is this the intake with the has a the part attach to the scoop? I've been thinking about that one

Well, I got Tackleberry all cleaned up and ready for the Spring Fling Car Show in Panama City Beach, FL this weekend. This will be my first time entering this show with my MINI.



The last time I did the show was about 10 years ago with my Accord.

Well I peaked under the 6mil plastic sheeting covering my MINI today, just to make sure it was all still there.
Then I went along my way, getting the stuff ready to do a little mod work to the Jeep tomorrow.

Installed my new black line rings for the headlights and tail lights courtesy of Mass mini parts!

Took out the nm engineering lower engine mount insert and spread some ultra grey silicone on the areas it contacts the rest of the engine mount because it was squishing out the side.

Had tie rods and ball joints (I think that's what its called) replaced.. Tires were making a weird noise at higher speed, my mechanic said this time, it wasn't a bad wheel bearing. I havnt yet driven it to give it the green light.

Clayed everything including the windows, and waxed everything except the roof. Planning on wrapping it and was advised not to wax it.
