FINALLY got around to putting on my Thule Criterium bike racks. They've been sitting on the garage floor for at least 6 months....
AND while I was at it I used satin black spray paint to black out the OEM roof rack.
The Criterium racks RULE.
I used to have the Yakima FrontLoader and there is NO comparison.
The Thule's are easier to put my bikes on/into.
And they do not hit my spoiler, which on my previous Mini, was damaged by using the Yakima racks.
Stoked.
Nice set up! I, too, have been very happy with the OEM rack/Criterium combo, especially since I vinyl wrapped the racks and powder coated the bike trays.
Took my Clubman to Helix for Koni FSD install - Purchased the FSD at Way Motor Works as it is the best price around...nice firm ride and all the bumps are quiet. The old shocks were shot after 60K miles.
diddnt do anything to my MINI today but as I type this I'm locked outside home with some KFC, USN, a coke, my MINI and a blackberry at full battery life, so were just bonding right now and spending good quality time together. My seat is all the way back and I'm chillin' ! Not bad!
Drove to get some lunch and got my first compliment on my 05 MCS from a stranger :-) (purchased my MINI 3 days ago)
You'll get used to it. I've gotten all sorts of random (good) comments about my MCS in the last year. Just the other day, a woman complimented my car while I was sitting at a drive thru.
Installed the GTA Car Kit and greased my sunroof tracks. Darn thing wouldn't even close the tracks were so dry. Can't believe I've gone 5 months sans iPhone music. Best money I've spent on the Pocket Rocket to date.

I did mine last weekend. I used Lock-Ease, from the hardware store. It's graphite powder suspended in a volatile liquid which evaporates and leaves no residue to attract dust or dirt. No more shuddering and groaning!
I plugged in the ELM327 OBDII and made the Bluetooth link to my Galaxy Tab 10.1 running Android "Torque Pro" App! ELM unit was $12.29 (Free Shipping) on eBay.
Laughed out loud as I watched my turbo inlet tube "wiggle" its way off the turbo. Btw....it's freakin' cold. Now I know why Klaus was sputtering at start up/warm up.
