Thanks! Ever since the accident, the Kid's been moving in a whole new direction.
Paulinooo - sounds like you're having fun. You should see if you can come out east and play.
MINIS to the Point 5
Pulled together some good raffle prizes to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, too.

Finished my 1800 mile 3 day journey from FL to South Dakota! The mini handled the drive great. Bit of wobble and pulling, but I think the guys at the tire place did a crap job on my rotate and balance this time :(
Managed to get an avg of 30 mpg most of the way! Until these upper states, where I noticed there is NO 93 octane gas! Wtf! It's 60 cents more then 85, but it's not even full premium! Saw a drop from cruising at 30+mpg to around 25 or less.
Also still have the strange rattle sound from somewhere in the engine bay (I think anyway). Case of beer to whomever fixes that problem!

Many places don't have anything over 91 octane, even at lower altitude. In CA, for instance, the highest grade of street-legal fuel is 91 octane. (You can get 100+ race gas at some outlets, but it is technically not street-legal.)
Not today, but yesterday: Found a good clear stretch of commute and was able to hit a 270-degree junction ramp at speed. Got the tires singing nicely the whole way around, and had to slow down a bit to cruise speed at the end of it. (Then again, my "cruise speed" is a wee bit lower than many people's.)
Smoked the Dragon. I spent the last 6 months building my JCW Cabrio for this week at MOTD. Jan at RMW tweaked my tune to account for my Dominator cam and 450 injectors then I took it for a Dragon run. My wife is a sooper trooper because I really had the hammer down and she was rock solid in the copilot seat.
