will do. i plan on making album from start to finish. and ending with the dyno tune and a video down the quarter mile afterwards. i have some photos in an album already. still none of its any good without a good tune.
Picked up a spare lower engine mount and filled it with 40A poly urethane. It should be soft enough to not create much vibration yet also help limit the engine movement.
I use to fill engine mounts for SRT-4's back in 04 and 05, used 60A and 80A with good results but the vibrations were always noticeable. I'll report back once it's installed.
*edit* Installed the mount and went for a short drive. Little to no additional vibration at idle when selecting 'D' (automatic) but noticeable vibration when in reverse. Little to no vibration when driving but throttle input feels way better, no sudden jolt and it's smooth going on and coming off the throttle. It should break in after a hundred miles or so but overall I'm extremely pleased.
Also picked up a set of R105's with RE050's for under $1k, brand new.

I'm rather amazed with the results I got. The black roof on my '05 MINI has had horrible swirls since I got it a few months ago.
I spent all day yesterday, went over the whole car twice with ScratchX 2.0, and went over the roof 3 times. Then went over the whole car twice with Ultimate Polish (they didn't have Deep Crystal at the store). -That was all I got, because I already had some Macguire's Cleaning Wax paste in can, and it worked well for my last step.
I love the fact that I only spent $20. I had some generic terry cloth applicators already. I used the inside of a very old sweatshirt to wipe off cleaner, polish, and wax etc.. I'm not yet convinced that special microfiber cloths and foam pads are needed.
This is the method/technique I followed. http://www.meguiarsonline.com/forums...Swirls-By-Hand
Of course I was in the shade all day, and sun was setting as I was finishing last night. Just saw my black roof in the sun first time this morning. No swirls WOW! (...okay, maybe a few here and there, but they're hard to find and see now, and they used to be super obvious)
I've only begun to read the Detailing 101 section on NAM. I'm sure there's lots of other, and perhaps better methods. I would recommend this to a noobie that wants to do it by hand.

went up to the mini dealer yesterday to pick up the stone guards i ordered , while there i asked the parts guy about prices on some stuff one thing being the hatch parcel shelf...mine got traded in with out one and as useless and pointless as it is i wanted to get one eventually..he said its about a 120 dollar part...but he had one removed from a customers car..
he gave me the damn thing and didnt charge a dime said a customer picked up thier brand new hatch and removed it and said they could throw it out they didnt need/want it..so that was a win for me
