Installed some chrome molding on my Clubman's barn door pillars. Have long thought this was a styling mistake by Mini for not completing the molding all the way around (as they do on all of the other models).

I think MINI left off the chrome trim on the C-pillars because they are normally all one contrasting color and it would look odd to break it up with a chrome strip. It looks great on your Hyde Park though and that edition should have had it from the factory.

Thanks, that's what I thought. I think Mini had the intention of only having the different color pillars that they came out with initially and the lack of molding doesn't show up as much (when there is a contrasting body color).

I'm going to paint my stock chrome grill today. I'll throw up some pictures later.

Yes, the rear doors open out and away, so no problem.

Got Grilled

Wasn't today but in recent weeks and thanks to Paul, got a really nice shot taken at MINI Rally in CT this past weekend.

The M7 Grilles are top quality product and worth every penny. The powder coating is thick, strong and top notch.

Also picked up some beefier turnbuckles for the M7 Splitter and installed new JCW Bonnet stripes.

Is that an OEM rear window trim cut in pieces for the corners? They look great!

This is where it pays to know how to turn your own wrenches... Probably 80% of what you payed was the dealerships $100+ per hour labor rate!

Earlier, installed rear aero bumper, front and center pans, rear diffuser, Forge recircu valve.
Let us know here or in the how to section how the DOS seafoam kit works. Looking to buy it. It doesn't go in the oil so it shouldn't matter when you do it.

Wow! - I like the way that came out; it gives the rear end a more finished, tied-together look. What parts did you use? Envious minds want to know!

Had some max heat-rejection ceramic film (FormulaOne Pinnacle 5%) placed in the sunroof panels.

Wow! I can now drive without having to wear a hat (no sunburn on the barren scalp)!

Ya, true dat. I think DOS says: -- We recommend performing an intake valve cleaning treatment every time you change your oil to keep carbon at bay. to create an increment of doing it regularly. I'm not having symptoms like some, but I'm sure it is happening. I've had an OCC for over a year on it. The head was refreshed about 30K ago as I recall.

Since I had already taken the noise maker off and replaced the whole thing with the Euro part number, which is actually the N18 part number now, I went with the hose for the N18 and just made a hose swap. Also, DOS has now substituted SeaFoam with a like-type BG product that "works better." The whole kit is nice, I think. I feel confident it will work as advertised, but what it does for carbon build up is yet to be seen. I'm sure others out there have some empirical evidence as to its value. I saw Harbor Freight had a $75 color scope one could use to scope out the valves afterward through the spark plug hole, do a before and after?

Holy moly I agree. And brakes are one of the easiest things to do, albeit messy. Hey at least the economy is being stimulated

Ebay.

2 1/8" diameter.
12x1.25 threaded.

Good weight, but not nearly as heavy as "weighted" *****.

Here's the one I bought:

You're right, the stock ***** and shifter shafts are not threaded.
My shifter has been replaced by the Craven short shifer which is threaded.

If you like this style of **** ask the eBay seller if he has non threaded ones and also check HOT ROD SHIFT *****, I knowthey have both threaded and non-threaded versions.

Cheers
