Thanks! I will be starting a new thread as soon as I get the body work completed. Not letting the cat out of the bag quite yet, but it will be totally different, that not many seem to know how to pull off. Its going to be a 180 degree turn around from the pretty look at me Challenge car clone I started. Something a bit more classic, and flat out nasty... :D
Ironically mine is up off the ground at the moment.... Should be back down on the ground by the end of the day, though....
C ya,
Dutch
What area of Florida are you going to? On the plane home from Tampa right now as I type this. I always head down to the Sarasota-Bradenton are as I have family there and I love it there! Sometimes I really wish I lived down that way
Excellent! I've been putting quit a bit on my beast-but I've had the advantage of actually being at home for some excellent top-down weather. Glad you're finally able to enjoy him!
We are looking at houses in Belleair (near Clearwater). I graduated from USF many years ago and always admired Belleair and the adjacent communities of Belleair Bluffs and Harbor Bluffs. Our first priority is to buy a house 5 minutes or less from the Gulf without the requirement of flood insurance. Fortunately, the vast majority of Belleair real estate sits at 49 feet above sea level.
Thanks, QH! Would have enjoyed putting more miles on John Bull, but Alabama and Ohio State play today (daughters' alma maters). My USF Bulls lost bad to Louisville in an earlier game.

Today I walked out to the shop to admire my MINI. I hope to have a new Mishimoto radiator in a few weeks. I've got to save my pennies for now though.
I can't imagine not being able to drive my MINI for a couple years, but there's lots of enjoyment in fixing up cars I know too.

Cleaned 4 summer tires and wheels to put them in storage for the winter
Man, I've got to get rid of some here . . . owning 5 sets of wheels and 6 sets of tires for 2 cars is ridiculous . . . I don't even have that much space. If only I could sale those RFT Contis... I can see how they would look expensive for used tires but I can't be loosing too much on those. They're like new and I have to make up for the money I spent on the winter tires... If anyone can spread the word that would be great

I installed four jack pads today. I am getting ready to swap out my 19s for my all-season 17s for winter. I am putting it off as long as practical.
Also I am trying to figure out if removing my rear seats would make a more comfortable spot for my dogs for longer trips. For the fun of it I removed the four nuts and four torque bolts holding the rear seats in and they simply pulled out. It really opens up the seating area. Now I need to figure out some type of custom padding.
