What did you do to your mini today?
Ok! Just a guess! Maybe primer isn't the technical name for it, but can't wait to see it with color! Hope the PC things fixes up. Reboot!
Has anyone with the VIP light bracket for the r56 had issues getting it to fit?
I got the 2 side brackets and the middle bumper brackets to go on no problem, but the large bus bar that the lights mount On Doesn't fit....the mounting holes are out too far on either side, it's almost as if the entire bar itself is 2" too long....
Any help

Two things.
1) Make sure the vertical bars left and right sides are correct and you have them in the correct mounting points. When done correctly the horizontal bar does fit, but it is snug.
2) The folks at VIP are very helpful - giv'm a call. I had the incorrect left bracket and they sent me out a new one the same day I made the call. I then returned to them the incorrect one.

The new thread is up! https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d-project.html
Just use waterless car wash. I've been using it for a few years. Great for the winter and safe on your paint. You will need a garage of coarse.
I here ya... Between leaf season, trips, and now the cold I haven't been able to care for either of our cars and it's killing me...
I must have bad luck because when I pulled on the ****, which was quite easy, the boot (once again) was stuck to it! That black plastic ring at the top of the boot had an insane hold on the ****.
However, with a little research and much persistence, I discovered a different method to separate the **** from the boot and finally did it!! I replaced with the JCW CF ****. It feels very different from the standard ****. I'll decide in the next couple weeks if I like it or not. I kind of already miss the fat grip on the standard one, tbh. But after all that work, I need to at least try it. lol

In terms of feel, I definitely prefer the JCW **** over the stock, the JCW **** feels more natural to hold rather than the odd ball shape of the stock ****. I don't feel like I'm ever going to miss a shift anymore. Hope you decide that you like it!
Wheels and mirror caps
Got a set of white wheels (same as the ones VittorioS has in his white MINI) and painted the mirror caps white to match the wheels, but I'm not so sure about white wheels. I prefer the anthracite/dark gray (I had that color on my previous wheels). Any suggestions???
I'm including the white wheels pic and the anthracite wheels picture~~~

As for your color choice, I think it's largely down to preference. Since you have everything blacked out, it'd make sense if you went with a darker color, like a gloss/matte black. Also, I'd consider bronze, gold, or anthracite as you mentioned.
If you plan on keeping the wheels the way they are, I'd keep the mirror caps black; you would have the tuxedo look going for you.
I'd be so concerned to scrape the paint with the dirt . . . idk I'd do this...
The rinseless is the way to go. I've been washing mine in the garage with zero water ending up on the floor. Work in small sections with a fluffy micro fiber mitt (turning often so dirt stays on the mitt rather than being dragged over the car) using the two bucket method. It's easy, cleanup is a snap and the car shines . . . and no inclement weather to worry about.
Where does one get one of these rinseless things? Sadly, I have no garage unless somebody wants to buy my '97 audi 1.8 turbo engine and tranny for another project of theirs. comp clutch, alum flywheel and other upgrades to push approaching 275 hp. Old man hit my son in his A-4 and totalled it :>( Also a boot cover, and a door we were going to replace. White.
