Well if you want to get the your rims done it will cost about $500.oo.

I have a set completely done that I will sell for 900.oo plus exact shipping.

But keep in mind if you are going to do your own you have to:

Take your Rims and Tires off the car
Remove Tires from the Rim
Have any Road Damage Repaired
Take them to the Hydro Dip shop
Pay the 500$ and wait 10 days
Go pick them up.

Buy mine, and you have your tires installed and bolt them on!

It can be done cheaper, if you do not have the Clear done with powder coat and only have regular clear coat, but if you want it to last spend the extra.

I will say this, I am always shocked that people think that is expensive, that's 125.oo$ a wheel. You can buy some cheap after market wheels that look good for a little more money, but will they be hub-centric to the MINI?

Will they have had MINI engineers spend gobs of money and time making sure that they are perfect for the ride and grip?

So I now get the best of both worlds, I perfectly engineered wheels for my car that are extremely good looking and something that I do not see on every Honda on the street.

At $125/wheel, you'll start seeing them on lots of Hondas pretty soon...

As for me, I dropped Fenimore off at the dealer. The maintenance minder wasn't something they forgot to reset when they had him last month--it was the front brakes! Funny how the mileage went from 1700 to 340 to 0 in less than a week. (With less than 200 miles driven total.)

They were also looking for an issue where both windows in the tach went completely blank. It only happened once, but...

They gave me a Paceman All4S auto. It felt strange--it was a lot like the Countryman All4S auto loaner that I got last year, which isn't really surprising. It drove like the other one did, and didn't feel any faster than my Justa Hardtop with manual gearbox.

I think that's just more confirmation that I did indeed pick the right car for me.

They're keeping him overnight to see if the tach problem will show up again.

Even at $125 per wheel, I seriously doubt you will see any Hondas running around on fake carbon fiber look wheels... Believe it or not, most kids with their Hondas have taste for good looking, and the real thing. No personally I dont like it either.

All I can say is WOW, its one of those things that your mother SHOULD have taught you: If you don't have something nice to say don't say anything at all!

This from a guy that wants to make his car look like rust.

Yup... Refinished in take off condition, somebody might be able to get $500, sit on them long enough and to the right buyer you could get $600 but not more.
Remember all the threads about the challenge spokes, most of those where in the $400 range practically new... For a lighter stronger wheel.

I spend most everyday working around large carbon fiber airplanes… Their rims? they're not made of carbon fiber!

If I had the $$$ to spend on customizing my stock wheels, I'd get 'em stripped to bare metal, high-nickel chromed, then coated with a translucent gunmetal grey, but it'd be far cheaper to just get the set of Konig Lace that I want....

Yes Chrome Work is extremely expensive, and when the wheels are stripped they may fine defects under the factory powder coating that would have to fixed first.

Your idea sounds neat, as you would have factory wheels, not always light but extremely durable. You would have a finish that would be durable also, why do you think they use chrome in the first place? Cause its TOUGH, the fact that they can make it shine is only a bonus. And then by covering that with a gun metal transparent you would avoid the total BLING factor.

Sounds like a nice setup, it would be expensive, but damn cool when finished.

I can respect that my wheel finish is not for you, but I wanted something different and I think I have achieved that, and I think the work that the guys did was OUTSTANDING.

Yes, it does appear that they did a bang-up job on it. Variety is the spice of life. If we all did the same thing, life would be pretty [insert your favorite expletive here] boring....
