What did you do to your mini today?
Ha ha... Thats funny! Please tell me you are joking about beating your fender with a hammer! After my bad experience trying to weld up the side scuttle vents (1st attempt) I can tell you how thin and weak they are... Still my current favorite R50 on the site BTW... :D
And thanks!

Thank heavens...
Seriously though, if you ever want to give body work a try, pick a pice of something up out of the scrap yard... Bend it, fix it, repeat... It can actually be a pretty fun pass time when you get good at it. Pretty easy to pick up on too, I started when I was 10, did my first paint job at 15.

After ordering 4k in parts just earlier in the day (yesterday) tragic accident occurred last night..my car was possibly totaled. As i was driving in a underground parking structure after Undie Run (a school event where everyone gets in there underwear and runs around the town from midnight to 2 am) my steering basically failed on me, became flippy floppy in wheel control and i couldn't avoid hitting a steel and concrete column, i was so worried about avoiding it that i forgot to brake. My baby still kind of started after the crash, just for a couple brief seconds and there was some hissing coming from it. I fear it is totaled since it was dripping pink/red (tranny) fluid but oddly enough not oil. The slightly funny thing is the headlight trim rings just popped off perfectly, always wanted to black vinyl wrap them lol and the hood scoop popped off nice. Headlights are 100% perfect not even a scratch and no bent wheels or suspension, even the intercooler is unharmed, i could see the engine looked intact and just the hot side tube leading to the intercooler was ripped off the turbo.
Yep, never had an accident or ticket before this so it was all different. I'm hoping it's just front end damage and the engine was just shoved back hence why there was red/pink fluid dripping from the front right of underneath the car (i assume transmission fluid). Thank god i had full coverage insurance, AAA uses a point scale to determine if its totaled, 20 points means totaled mines at 17.6 so there's still hope she can be repaired, she's being sent off to a repair shop for her repairs, no cost to me other than the deductible so overall not too bad..I'm thankful though, if she can be resurrected I'll be the happiest guy on earth, i mean bleh i definitely wouldn't want to have to buy a corolla or camry if my MINI was a total loss
So I got an A-pillar from a Parts car and made the mount, I went with the Cf as I thought it was easier to do, than trying to match the factory color and with the amount of handling that it was going to get it would only get really dirty.
Thanx! But really its not that hard, hell I got the parts to do it at Lowes and Walmart
Lowes PVC Pipe for the gauges and wally world for the Fiberglass and Bondo, then the Cf is really Hydro-dip and clear coated.

LOL! Yeah, they're kinda bright. Good thing the "grille" panels they're mounted in point them a little downward, or they'd be even worse.
NOBODY will miss them, though--and when I've got my hitch in, I still have backup lights....
C ya,

Sweet!
I'm working on an air plate diverter kinda similar to the one M7 makes. It's a long-running back-burner project, but I just ordered the vinyl decals for the next step in building it. I'm keeping the details top secret until it's done....
