Yesterday, I detailed the Mini using Zaino products. Dawn wash>clay bar>Zaino car wash>2 coats Z-5(get rid of swirls)>Z-6 between each coats>1 coat of Z-2. Ran out of time. Will add another coat of Z-2 this weekend.

Decided today to invest in winter tires! Slip sliding away! I hate the run flats in the snow. It's like driving on bald tires! Too bad I can't afford them right now... :>(

When you are all done....if you want to be truly impressed, try a bottle of Z8 as the last coat....

Well, that is definitely a "ratty" looking roof...lol.

Can't wait to see the final product

Ive got more body work to do... New hood, fix where the hatch pins come through the sheetmetal, find '02-'03 justa bumpers with the Chromeline pieces... Fix this... Fix that...

But it should be done by spring, if the weather cooperates. Its not for everybody, or easy to do, but it is unique, and I am all about that!

Still haven't updated my thread on the project... Probably should get on that...

Jake,

Its a JCW Sound kit is a really nice kit, I really like mine, and its held up over the years. You will need to get some K&N filter cleaner / oil and the BMC filters it comes stock with uses the same type stuff. See the little red filters.

K&N Recharge Kit part # 99-5050

Post up a pic after the install. They should also do the flash of the ECU if I remember right.

You might want to post this in the technical section of forum for the generation of your MINI. You might also want to get the battery load tested (most auto parts stores will do this for free). Window problems is one of the signs of a failing battery. Reprogramming the windows is covered in the owners' manual.

Installed OutMotoring LED tail lights, R99 wheels and Blendmount radar detector mirror mount. The lights work perfectly, the wheels look great and the radar mount is great.

My MINI wrap is nearing the end.

Still about a week left until it is finished. I am doing an OEM projector retrofit, painting the wheels gloss black, and getting the calipers painted hot pink for a touch of girly, without being obnixious.

New belt. What a PIA. Why can't it just have a regular 3/8" socket hole? Used the hex wrench/socket/bar and it went ok. Was throwing a code. Tech thought maybe the belt was slipping on the supercharger pulley. We'll see if it makes a difference.

Can you post a full gallery when the vinyl wrap is complete? Also how much did it cost total?

On my Sport wheel, I replaced the silver button pads with black ones, and on the bottom spoke replaced the silver blank with the carbon fiber JCW logo'd piece. I got a W bracket and ScanGuage mount from Craven and fixed that up too, so I can run with my Garmin and still have information exclusive of one another..

Definitely! The wrap is only $1200 for the little MINI cooper. I am also doing the plastic fenders as well. The MINI will be done this upcoming week!
