What did you do to your mini today?
After I ordered the GP2 diffuser, I got inspired to go for a drive. So I drove down to the local park with the wife through some twisties and went for a hike.
Wouldn't you know it, we took the wrong hiking trail and had to rush back for my tint appointment. Oh well, it was fun driving back home quickly. Such a beautiful day out today.

Getting the GP2 diffuser next month for my R58 JCW. Just installed the
carbon fiber (not real but looks it) interior trim kit from OUTMOTORING
to finally get rid of that awful silver!

Pulled a front wheel off today to try and see what's clunking in the right front. In that brutal cold last week, I developed a clunking noise that only happens when the right front drops - any small pothole will make it clunk but bumps do not. Didn't see anything obvious. Time to have somebody look at it.

Thanks for the help, minibx!
Installed NM torque bushing insert while I did my first oil change in my 2011 R57. Wow what a great mod, easy to install and very noticeable difference. I've had her since 17k mile and now she has 20k and the dealer told me I has 8k more on the oil but I wanted some peace if mind knowing what kind of oil (Royal Purple 5w/30). I've got a H & S Competition Sway Bar in the garage for the next project but I might wait till I get some Megan Racing Coilovers before I install the bar.

Is this a big job, little job? I'm going to be bringing it to a MINI tech on Wed that does some work on the side so I will know for sure by then.
Yeah, the inserts surprised the crap out of me, too.

Gotta love the Cross Bronx... That cold could have factored in to my bump stop cracking. But if it were the bump stop, wouldn't I feel it more on bumps? Not only do I only hear this clunk when the wheel drops (like off the lip of my garage) but if I'm in a hard left hand turn (it's the passenger front) I don't hear much of anything. In a hard right hand turn with less down force on that right front wheel, it clunks like crazy! Thanks for the help, minibx!
I took delivery of my '13 Hardtop this past Tuesday. I drive with the rear headrests removed and the back of the rear seats dropped down. This allowed the rear seat belts to lie against the side of the cabin which is a hard plastic. The buckle on the belts were vibrating/rattling against the sides. I went to the local hardware store and bought some tape backed foam that is used for lining doors/windows in homes. I taped up the part of the buckles resting against the side of the cabin and, at least for the time being, I'm rattle free.
+1
I washed both of our cars yesterday (including the MINI). Even though it might rain this week it is indeed very nice that I finally could remove all that terrible salt from the bitter cold event we've had. Both cars were fully detailed. I don't dare take them to an automatic wash . . . I'll spare them the abuse
