What a great son I have! He ordered some custom made Blue Meanie window decals for the '05 MCS for my birthday yesterday! I could not find what I wanted anywhere on the web and I looked a lot! He couldn't either, so ordered some customs. Yay!! That, and a beautiful 70 degree day in Nebrasky made for a great country drive and awesome birthday!

I finally got to use my tow hook today, after getting stuck in a very snowy driveway. Unfortunately (Fortunately), the little plastic cover for the hole was torn off and lost in the process, so had to order a nice anodized red one.

Found out she needs a new slave cylinder. I've spent over $3200 in that last 3 weeks on her between tires, clutch, flywheel and now slave. Can't wait to get her back tomorrow.

Made the 2-hour round trip to MINI of Mount Laurel (NJ) for Rowan's first oil change -- a little early at about 8,800 miles, but I'm taking advantage of a break in the weather. Posting this from there.

Just got a note from my mechanic. Time for the 75,000 mile check up on my '05 MCS> What stuff is supposed to get done now? Might as well get the very small evap leak taken care of too. The service light only is on when cold. Tuesday was 70 and it turned off and hasn't come back. Now it's snowing again! that's Nebraska for you.

Nice car... How do you like those taillights? They look nice... I'm thinking about getting those as well and I have a jet black MCS as well so the same set up that you have would be perfect. Do you have any more pics with them on etc... Thanks in advance....also I'm guessing that they have a built in resistor to avoid errors and fast blinking....thanks

Hey at least its in the same area as the DP your putting in today! Or was it more you're fixing the leak and you have to take the DP out? Either way, 2 birds, 1 stone

Gave the Mini a wash. Got bored and installed a subwoofer. Thanks to the great members in here for the wiring diagram. Got a lot of bass now but will need better highs.

Installed lumbar support in drivers seat (as an upgrade in a 2013 R56s with leatherette), with kit from Outmotoring. Super easy, took <20 min. Well worth it. Also installed light-in-sight. Works as advertised, but not sure I like it - I find it distracting. I'm thinking about moving it to lower edge of rear window to help w. parking (not that parking is difficult, just could be fun), anyone tried that?

Forgot, also installed NM Engineering torque arm inserts. Still need to motor some more to get good feeling for it, but so far my impressions are very positive. Together with BMS clutch stop the shifting is much crisper and more precise now.

My new brake lines arrived. Kit should be here on Monday.

Today just replaced the filter in my intake. And how about this work light? I knew that magnet feature would come in handy eventually!

Installed two new hatch struts because my head was sick of getting whacked, and new wipers because the old ones had 3 inches of rubber contacting the windshield.

Found out I had a slight water leak today was dripping on exhaust under the engine also looked to be running behind the heat shield. So I ordered a new thermostat housing overnight delivery. Removed thermostat housing , nothing too obvious, hope this is it.

Yes the lumbar support is a very easy install. Well worth the price. Did tear the foam alittle when pulling over the frame. But otherwise a piece of cake.
