What did you do to your mini today?
No issues so far, and I don't expect any. Snip off the sensor itself, strip insulation off the small pair of wires, twist together securely, tight tape wrap / shrink tube wrap / etc to insulate & protect the connection. Then cable tie this sensor cable to something nearby to keep it out of harms way. It will just continue to report that you have xx,xxx miles left on your pads constantly. I'm rotating or swapping wheels/tires frequently enough that I'm sure I can stay ahead of any needed pad replacements.
Decided to install poly front control arm bushings at work. Started at 5, didn't roll away till 11:45!! Everything was going smooth, and would of been done around 8:30-9, but I chose to shortcut and not completely take off the subframe, and the drivers side sway bar mount/control arm unit wouldn't line up.
Anyways, they made quite a difference. Though the old bushings weren't leaking, they had play, and when you hit a bump, the steering wheel felt like it was going to be pull from your hands, now hitting a bump, it feels like its going through the suspension/chassis like it's supposed to instead of through the steering wheel... The Mrs. Was not happy of my late arrival, though I did this for her, I just can't win lol.

Will update in a couple of weeks but my Clubbie's paint was severly damaged when it was transported so it was just stripped and painted. All the Rally Edition green goodies are gone, not sure if I'll put them back. I'd have to buy a side grill... one of them just flew off when pulling it off transport... I checked the other side and it was really loose... don't know how I never noticed this before... such BS.
Anyway, I haven't seen the car in person but these were the pics sent to me... looks good and I'm told it looks good but don't know yet. I plan on wrapping the entire car, will definitely show pics of it then.

Did you have to paint the scoop? I love the notch
Yes it was $50 to paint from Detroit Tuned. I love it too, can't wait to remove the stripes!
Put it up for sale: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...-s-manual.html
Sad to see her go, we've had some good times. Let me know if you're interested!

New horns courtesy of O'Reilly Auto Parts. The old ones got wet and died. In Phoenix, AZ. In the one bit of rain we've had in months....
The new horns fit nicely, and don't have the snailshell design like the originals to catch water, but are a disk similar to the horn on an old air-cooled VW. They have separate low and high notes, and, as a bonus, instead of sounding like a Buick (my biggest gripes with the MINI were the Buick-y horn and the very approximate nature of the resume feature on the cruise control), it actually sounds like a European car's horn ought to. Ironically, the Buick-y horns are made in Italy, and the Euro-y horns are made in China....
C ya,
Dutch

New, that spoiler will run you just under $425. Then you got to pony up for paint! Hang on to it, you just might need it, when you opt for that Orranje G Wing!
