More like last week, I plugged in my newly acquired JB+ 40% and loving it. Might need to hunt down a closer source of E85 and give higher settings a try

3K mile Oil Change.
New set of 2 step colder NGK Irid plugs ( 60K miles old )
Read the old plugs
Cleaned inside of DFIC IC.
Swapped out ALTA CAI foam filter with clean one.
Added new M7 Aero gel pad under DFIC
Tire Pressure check.
BUSTER got a machine polishing today to get rid of old man winter's superficial damage. I used Adam's Paint Correcting and Paint Finishing Polish Combo. Fantastic product and easy to use with great results. I highly recommend this two step system for removing swirls, scratches and haze. Adam's products are top notch and work exactly as stated. I haven't beed disappointed yet.
Fitted my new exhaust (OE swap) on my R50. After the water pump, flange/hose, re-con midland gearbox, passenger door actuator, wheel centres, oil pressure switch, reverse light, new key case and remote, it's finally mechanically perfect! Perfect as a daily driver
Stopped by vendors row at MOTD. The great guys at Helix installed a Craven short shifter and NM shift linkage dust cover. Also had Helix do a bunch of coding for convenience features. The folks at MiniFini installed a new upholder for me. Really nice having one that is actually useful for something other than stashing change, chapstick, etc. in.

BUSTER got a nice coat of paint sealant today. The end of this spring clean-hp is finally in sight. Tomorrow, Carnauba Paste Wax and sealing the convertible top.
o Visit to Dealer; window/AC issue fixed under warranty.
o Got to see a GP ip front
o Saw a classic MINI
o Treated my MINIAC to some BlackJack Mirror Caps and Rocker panel guards...
o Out of all this the best part was zipping down the interstate enjoying the power and awesome sound that the new DP brings to the game...
tried to jack it up - first I could barely get my 3 ton jack under the frame rails of the lowered car, and then realized my jack stands are the "big truck" kind and way too tall, so I need to get shorter stands.
Still trying to get used to having a car in the garage that's 1/4 the size of my Tundra Crewmax :-)
Caught a BMW Z3M on an on-ramp. He started pulling away at the entry to the turn, and I reeled him in through the rest of it...
Which furthers my contention that the cornering speed of a car on the street is directly proportional to the stupidity (confidence? optimism?) of the driver.
The final stages for BUSTER's spring clean up. Today he got a good coat of high quality carnauba paste wax and the convertible top was sealed with Raggtopp. License plates and fin inserts got reinstalled as well as LED replacement bulbs for the rear license plate bulbs.
Drive shaft went....how screwed am I? What should I expect for repair cost? 2006 r50 manual trans
$50-60 if you can do it yourself. I believe MINI charges around $100 for the part. Then you have installation.
Call 3 places to get quotes and then see who will honor the lowest price. Before I started working on the MINI myself, the dealership would always honor the lowest price I could find in order to earn my business.
Installed my P3Car ODBII gauge (right of the steering wheel). It will display boost, coolant temp, oil temp, intake temp, timing, and others. In the photo it is displaying boost (psi). Took about 20 minutes to install. Gauge on the left is the Aquamist Water/Methanol Flow gauge.
