Left him parked, while I drove my "other car" for the first time in far too long...

I have to get used to this thing again! It just simply goes where I point it, and I can't get it to break loose at all! Interestingly enough, even though the MINI doesn't grip as well, it does seem to turn-in better.

mine is an MCS "13, I can't tell, but did your crack start at the edge and crack to the center? I really couldn't what caused the crack. No visible impact site.

Starting to transform my boot. Was supposed to get my stripe done, but after de-badging the MINI emblem, vinyl dude wouldn't fill the holes so I'll work on that this weekend. Anyone who wants to pitch in on some questions I have (just related to vinyl and taking apart the hatch) could chime in here if they want:

https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...questions.html

Otherwise, I finished up the video from my run on May 17. Less than a month to get it done. Go figure.

Enjoy!

Finally we receive the MINI last week from Puerto Rico and is on Georgia with us, and today my wife put the first 10k miles on it on her way to the job.

Took it in for a brake fluid change and maybe rear pads. Figured I'd use the last of the warranty and maintenance (little over 1 month left). Sensor says 1300 on rear miles but at 26k thought it would be a repeat of the fronts last year (sensor wonky) but what the heck....

After 3 days got it back. Rear pads were fine. Turns out front needed to be done (though sensor said 8k to go). Even pad wear but uneven side-to-side wear (4mm diff). No sign of caliper issues or binding.

Also new flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch! I mentioned a hum when starting out on hills when I dropped it off. Turns out previous owner was not nice to the clutch for the first 20k miles, with a scorched, glazed flywheel and other issues. Ducked a $3k bill but wondering what else she did during her time. I got a good deal used but now am wondering how good a deal after this.

Still love the little pipsqueak but just a little doubting now.... Will have to go on a long drive as a confidence building measure.

FWIW... My slave cylinder died back in August of 2005 at 10,751 miles. My flywheel (e.g. chatter) went on April 21, 2006 at 19,619 miles.

I am now at 97,396 miles and counting. Clutch is aging so I am not looking forward to that bill. But I believe I still have time on it. I have never had a clutch assembly last this long for my driving style. Coming from Hondas (older Civics), they would only last 50-60k miles. So this is one of the items that have impressed me with the MINI.

It should depend on your driving habits/style. Mind you, I've had the 15% pulley on since 16,801 miles.

Ziano Wash, Z4 and then a shot of Zzzzzzzz8 ! WOW !

Engine wash with: http://www.detailersdomain.com/Adams...ner_p_111.html

Then used this under the bonnet and on exterior black trim.

Dropped off my MINI for warranty repair work. Axle seals shot, oil pan gasket shot, and upper guide? Not sure what that is but it doesn't sounds good.

Put on some wheel spacers. Jeep tires look massive in comparison.Name: 20140609_203010_zpsscay21s_edit_1402368544474_zpsxtr5bjrj.jpg
