Just finished this little project I've been working on - LED's in my hood scoop that are wirelessly controlled with an Android app. Check it out! YouTube Link Happy Motoring!
That's cool. Are you going to make the app available?

Thank you. I'm definitely open to making the app available. It's sort of useless without the hardware it talks to (the arduino with bluetooth, led's) though.
But if there's enough people interested I'd be open to making a batch of these kits for sale. PM me if anyone's interested!
I just dropped BUSTER off at the body shop for PDR (paintless dent removal) from the pingpong size hail storm from over two weeks ago. Can't wait.
I feel your pain. My neighbor gave mine a love tap on the side less than a week after I purchased it. There is a tiny scratch, but it has a good size ding where she tapped it. She won't own up to the fact that she did it, but her black paint on my car, and my dark silver on her bumper is enough proof for me.
Need to find a reputable place in Houston that does the same thing.

If it's any consolation, I've had PDR many times before, with some pretty bad dents, and they turned out great. You just need someone who is good at the job.
I hope you never need to use it. I had thought about going that route and eliminating the need to lug around my donut but didnt like the idea of shooting sealant into a flat because of all the consequences.....fouling of TPMS, needing to clean inside of tire and rim, etc.
Got mine from the body shop last week. Total cost was $7,800 for rock damage and hail from a storm I hit the week before. They did one heck of a job.
Sorry, shrevemini. I completely understand your frustration. BUSTER is in the shop right now for PDR as a result of a recent hail storm. The damage was about $1300. I'll be checking out the results today.
Went to visit BUSTER at the body shop to inspect the PDR. Unbelievable results and not one ding to be seen. He'll be getting a little paint repair from our crazy midwestern winter and he'll be good as new. After a little curing time for the paint repair, BUSTER will be getting a complete hood and lower bumper Xpel clear bra.

Me too. I have a fifth full size wheel/tire at the house now that is only about 15-20 min away. Fouling a TPMS could be a concern. But it appears that the higher end BMW cars come with their own version of this kit called the BMW Mobility Kit.

Well, in 25 years of driving, I have never had a blow out. I am quite OCD about tires and monitoring the air pressure every two weeks. I swap out tires when they hit 3/32" in tread depth. Actively monitoring your tires helps reduce the chance of a blow out I believe. Statistically, there is always that chance but... Even with RF tires, those never gave me confidence that I would make it home if the tire pressure was lost.
I've known three people who have had blow outs and when I ask them, didn't you know your tire was bald? old? cracking? "Nope..." is the answer I get...
