What did you do to your mini today?
Yeah, I'm quite happy with how it turned out. I originally ordered the entire emblem (chrome wings included) but was unhappy with the quality of the chroming on the plastic wings. They may suit the classic Mini's just fine, since a bit of wear and tear is to be expected, but on my brand new car, I felt it was out of place. But I had a feeling the sticker portion would look pretty good as a replacement for the boring MINI letters, so i picked up a set from ebay for about $12. They took forever to get to me, since shipping of course was from Taiwan, but I have no regrets in my purchase. I didn't even bother removing the original MINI stickers, and one could hardly tell. For your reference, the stickers are 1 11/16" which comes to about 42 or 43 mm. You'll want to make sure you aren't looking at ones meant for the wheel caps, since there are TONS of those listings out there (although now that I've got my new wheels on, I might have to pick up a set of those as well).
thanks - i agree. that color combo seems to suit the BRG paint perfectly. I just wish I could have found a source for pepper white checkers and stripes, since my mirror caps are pepper white and I really like how the "vintage" tone looks with the green.

I considered the red version as well, since I've seen a BRG classic that looked great with the red MINI logo.

Welcome. The carbon fiber colors match the GP paint very well and the sticker makes it blend, like it should have been CF from the factory.

Powder coated my NM pipes, bought them used and the original NM blue finish was all scratched up, so I decided to get it powder coated. I choose a similar finish to the AEM intake grey since I'll be installing that soon or later. (I don't like too many different colours in my engine bay!)
Finally got around to changing the oil - kind of... after I drained it, I found I didn't have the correct socket to change the filter . I live in an apartment, and they don't allow "vehicle maintenance" on the grounds, so I definitely couldn't leave it sitting up on ramps a couple hours until I had another vehicle to go get the right socket. So I got in the Royal Purple (it was on sale!) since the engine had already been drained.
Quick question - is it any more difficult to change the filter without draining the oil? Is it extremely messy? I plan to do it either later tonight or Sunday.
Never mind, just did it. No big deal.

My first meaningful mod: I used NCS Dummy & NCS Expert (the new, Win7 X64-friendly version) to enable the closing of the windows and sunroof with the key fob.
The next item on the list is to fix the annoyingly-optimistic speedometer!
Both items have been on my to-do list since shortly after I bought the car, almost a year and a half ago.
