Polk Audio db6501 Install
Replaced the stock door speakers w/ Polk Audio db6501 Components (Christmas present from the wife) to go along with the 6x9 JVC's I had previously put in the rear. I had read in forums where people had made or bought spacers to move the woofers out to clear the electric windows. The set I bought had thin spacers supplied that allowed easy mounting, clears everything and allows you to use the stock speaker grills for both the woofers & tweeters. There is even room for the crossover to be mounted next to the woofer and have it clear the door panel. Slick install.
On New Year's Day, I did a full detailing. Wash, clay bar, wash, 2 coats of Zaino, 303 Aerospace Protectant, Black Wow, and vacuum. Took about 4.5 hours, but wowie wow wow! She looks great!

I did the New England version of that. It was freakishly warm (almost 45 degrees) which gave me the opportunity to hand wash and towel dry out in the driveway. I also gave the underside a though irrigation and washed sand and salt off the floor mats.
It was pretty well gray from road salt by bedtime though.

Sorry about the salt after all your hard work, but the color of your MINI is so beautiful!
Finally got my auto-up module and ipod radio cables installed after driving around with them in the glove compartment for several months. Got the oil changed too. Thanks Dan at Grassroots Garage.
Today (well ok yesterday) I gave Zippy a bath...or rather, had my boyfriend do it while I watched at the do it yourself wash. For $5.50 he got a good soapy brush and foaming conditioner! Then of course, it rained later. And I got a better photo shoot with him after he was all clean
