Before I even had coffee this morning I pulled the trigger on a few new bits...
K&N typhoon intake
Over filter
GFB DV+
Fresh spark plugs
Roll of DynaLiner for inside wheel wells
Roll of adhesive heat barrier for underside of K&N filter box and mt REV heat shield
I'm going to be pretty busy next few days off :-)

Yup, that is the plan . . . though I got so busy it completely escaped my mind when I designed and ordered a custom made cover
I've have to see how it will work once I get it.
I'm looking at making an easy lic plate removable system and I'll have to include illumination of the plate as well (ah, the law...)

They NLA the factory carbon fiber covers for the sport wheel.
But people use 3M carbon wrap and do it.

I installed matte black door handle covers Friday afternoon. When I test fit them you could see just a trace of the chrome underneath. I used some black vinyl to wrap the bases of the door handle where it mounts to the door and the chrome lip inside the handle. Outmotoring was my source for the handles and they look really nice.

Pictures are always good, so will hae to update this...
TSW springs and Hotchkis 2.5 RSB installed on Friday followed by an alignment Sat morning and then aFe ProDry air filter on Sunday!
With both the Torque bushings done a few weeks ago my R56 is coming along nicely!!
Can't beliee how much better it handles with that RSB, actually with the springs as well

Monday is the whole of my weekend these days. Today I unpacked the K&N kit and wrapped the filter housing in heat reflective liner, and applied same on my REV turbo heat shield. I come from building hot rod air cooled 70's bikes and airhead Vee Dubs so I am OCD about active and passive heat management. Better fans and some sort of ducting couldn't hurt, and oil and trans coolers are on the drawing board.
After my original thermostat housing bubbled and boiled leaving me stranded once, I ain't having that again.

I decided to do some painting on the chrome. I did the front headlight rings, grille and trim, rear hatch handle, and tail light rings. I also ordered a rear lower bumper valance and some other goodies from Pelican Parts today New tires a few days ago.

Centium,
If you have some plastic trim removal tools it is possible to remove the door handle covers. We removed my friends covers so he could hide the chrome better after he saw mine.
Gently pry the handle up to allow a WD-40 straw to slip in and spray some lube to release the tape. Let it penetrate and you can very gently pry them off.
We cleaned up with soap and water first. Then a full secondary cleaning with rubbing alcohol. *** You Really Need To Clean Well With Alcohol *** Once everything was cleaned up we wrapped the handle bases with black vinyl tape with a length of tape to cover the top chrome line that is visible on top of the handle.
Then we used some thin 3M automotive double sided tape to remount his handles. Came out great.
Just take your time.
