Put sea foam in the gas and a 1/4 bottle in the pcv line. Fireworks are illegal so I made a smoke show instead.

Excellent news! I was wondering what happened to Barnaby. Thanks for following up! Glad to hear it was an easy fix.

Plus a tuneup and oil change. I need to put an O2 simulator in and redo the header to pipe hookup though. There is a tiny leak you can hear when you rev it.

Madness V2, decent quality. Just took too long to get here and wasn't quite what I ordered due to some mixup or whatever. Probably won't order from them again. Good pipe though

Food for thought. The same part number was used for the cat/header for the S, JCW and GP.

I bought my Scorpion header out of necessity and never seen any gains just headaches with post cat o2 sensor codes.

If someone was close by with a stock header in my case I'd trade in a heart beat.

Interesting... I went with Milltek and never looked back! Perfect fit, no leaks and no codes. Just a better sound and more pull through the gears. But I have heard a number of people attempting to piece together an aftermarket header and it not working properly or throwing codes.

If anyone is looking for an upgrade at the header position. Pricey but you get what you pay for...

Yea I am so excited, thanks for responding. Lets hope he makes it back in one piece so I can give him some much needed love (new tires, coolant hoses all around) and suspension. Just hit 130k looking for another 130k more!!

What grill and scoop do you have? I need to decide on an aftermarket JCW style grille and get that done, the chrome is bugging me!

I painted #211's Sport steering wheel three inserts (I used Rust-Oleum Professional High Performance Enamel Stainless Steel) very close to the OEM color.

Yes, you can remove and install the inserts without removing the airbag.

Motor on!

I was inspired by a previous post in this thread.

Sprayed the fenders with black plasti-dip in order to get a feel for how it looks prior to going through all the effort of actually painting it.

+1 on the Milltek

I installed blacked out tail lights and the 3rd brake light. It's all starting to come together. I want to replace the fog light with a silver one and the rear will look noice!

Installed Euro tail lights this weekend. It took about 10 minutes, only one bolt and one plug per side. It's so easy to remove them, I would check if you have any rust forming under the lights. There are some bad body seams in there and I can see why a lot of quarters are rotting out around the lights.

I don't understand how the S could be the same part number when they're clearly different. I haven't researched JCW or the GP, but that's a factory S manifold next to it in the picture.

Never mind, I think I see what you're saying. the 3 MINIs use the same part

My family and I had a pool volleyball party at my brother house (lots of Fireball whisky ), Sunday morning my brother's wife is carrying the cover to my driver side mirror. I was so confused, she said she found it on the lawn, what!? My mirror was hit by a cycling road bike event that took place on the 4th and 5th, somebody is feeling pain because my mirror was found twisted and the actual mirror was never found. The mirror cover was found 20 feet away from my Mini, these mirrors assemblies are pretty tough, I can't speak to the actual mirror since it was nowhere to be found. Found out my mirrors are heated mirrors when you use the front seat heaters. I did find other plastics at the scene that didn't belong to my Mini.

On another note my Lo-Jack Lojack Early Warning System isn't working, safe to assume the letter I got a few months ago from Lo-Jack about defective batteries installed in certain units. It's safe to assume my Lojack is completely offline.

This weekend full interior detail, wash/dry. Used McGuires spray on wheel cleaner (purple bottle). Good stuff-not great but acceptable.
New NGK SP wires (3rd cyl contact on ignition pack a little brown so I used #0000 steel wool). Prob will replace.
Also new JCw CAI air filter. Figured I'd give the Open Flapper Mod a try while I'm in there. I'm not too keen on keeping an electrical connection unplugged and not expect an ECU code but hey....I'll go with it and see if it jives with my driving style.
Headed back out to give Mothers Back to Black a shot on the ext trim.
2 Questions:
Silver polish for foggy headlights?
Where to get a foam gasket (near firewall for flapper) for JCW CAI?

TIA
