What did you do to your mini today?
You're welcome. That's awesome! Can you post a photo of the front one?

Enjoy your Toyota.
I exercise critical thinking skills and did not build a lifestyle around this car. I loved the driving dynamics of this car. The car really did put a smile on my face when driving it.
Some will say well you bought a bad MINI, but I educated myself before I bought my MINI. I bought a one-owner car with every piece of paper from the original sales contract to its last oil change before it left their hands.
Part of being a decent enthusiast is acknowledging those shortcomings, but that seems to be frowned on heavily in the new MINI community. I thought I could deal with the shortcomings as they came, but I realized after two years this is not for me.
I’m certainly not going to ******** any newcomers that this going to be like owning a Corolla of the same vintage.
Big driving change. Toyo truck will be reliable, but not something I would want to have to drive every day. I have a small pickup, but it's only for going into town and getting gardening supplies, building supplies, wood pellets and that kind of thing. Handy to have when you live out in the rural areas, but spendy to drive in town for sure. Hope you got the 4 banger with a manual, if they're still selling manual transmissions. Expect about 17-20 mpg in town. As they say, your mileage may vary

I think in a few years I'll pick up a classic Mini.
This will be a huge change. I'll miss the handling that's for sure. I've never gotten any better than 21 MPG in town with my MINI. On the highway I've averaged 29 MPG. Plus I've always run 91 and the yota runs on goat ****. I think in a few years I'll pick up a classic Mini.

I don’t need a special scan tool
There are no dodgy and expensive electric components to fail that require coding. The parts on an old Mini are just some times dodgy.
I expect oil leaks and rust.
I don’t think I’m going to run into backordered parts as much.
It would be a hobby car
My entire interior besides the headliner and dash is no longer on the inside of my car. I'd post pictures but some BS about not having a security token won't let me attach them, I have pos connectivity out here on a pier on an island anyways...
Quick question, 08 r56s, faux leather interior seats, heated, no fancy steering wheel with buttons, on my passenger side under where the seat was is a Styrofoam insert that has a purple and a black plug that weren't connected to anything and on the driver's side there's a similar situation but with just one large white plug... I've found out so much random stuff about minis the past couple years but I can't tell you how much I find things and scratch my head in pure wonder, like wtf is that? Why is it there? What does it do... And for the record I'm no clueless bimbo, I'm pretty damn savvy mechanically (hence the nick) but sometimes just, wtf?

Its the Holidays...
You are leaving the MINI world, wish you nothing but the best. Please move on and do not look back. You had some bad experiences with MINI repairs that it sounds like you completed and ended up not fixing the issue. I think a newer/different vehicle suits your needs.
Perhaps we all can get back to a MINI related thread instead of getting defensive and attacking others.
Happy Holidays everyone!
I treated mine to a Euro parcel shelf, finally wired up the steering wheel control module for my Sony head unit, and installed my (new to me) rear fog light switch pack. I also picked up an Alta 17% pulley kit, to be installed next weekend. Topping it off I may have found my elusive glove box organizer. Today was an expensive day but well worth it.
Dang I love this little car, even if it is 10 years old.

Bought my second new mini in less than a month. The new one is a F55 MCS in lapisluxury blue. Wife decided she wanted one after letting her drive mine.
