Thanks!
Thank you!
To save money I chose a blue that the powder coater had in stock. It's not color-matched by any means, but I wasn't too concerned with that.
You're really making me feel bad about my calipers now! Mine are in some serious need of re-powdercoating and doing a full reseal kit.

R52 - Thanks, I did the checkeredboard pattern myself , all the other items are JCW add ons.
R58 - Nope both, , there is an extra wire for the DRL light on the HL which you tap into the factory positions lights, those also have the Ziza position leds to match. Great combo.

Ziza Position light leds

Just click the light switch up one to turn on the parking lights, one more and the headlight Xenon turns on also.
R56 - Its doing well, garage kept now , along with his 2 other MINIs.

Yea make sure, it looks like pure silver, I would get the part number off the old receipt if you can find it. Been using the CG on the new stripes I have, no issues.

How bad was it installing the stainless steel lines? Flare nut wrench come in handy? I am considering it just to round out and finish my brakes.
Nice brake job, by the way!
CooperSAZ,
Sort of a pain since the threads on the caliper side are fixed to the lines. You have to spin the entire line to thread them on... all while your fluid is dripping out of the hard line. Unless the hose is straight, it wants to whip around and makes it hard to get the threads started, as well as getting caught on everything in the wheel well.
The order is remove the hose from the hard line, then caliper, reinstall caliper side, then hardline. I installed the caliper side while they were off to make things a lot easier. Maybe WMW, ECS, Pelican, or DT can post some tips on the procedure.
I changed the fluid and bled the lines with a Motive European pressure bleeder. I also got a set of Home Depot flarenut wrenches, $20 for 3 metric and 3 standard.

We recommend using the flare-nut wrench that fully wraps around the brake line. If you use a standard wrench, then there is a high chance of rounding off the corners, and permanently damaging the hard brake lines. These fittings are not very strong, and will become stripped if you don't use one of these wrenches. We have a DIY that covers SS brake line installing. MINI > Tech Info (tab at top) > Brakes > Installing Stainless Steel Brake Lines. Nice on using Typ 200 fluid. I've been running that for years. On and off the track.

The ST XTA's ride and handle great. This is also the only lowered car I've had that rode better than the stock setup. I'm not sure if the regular ST's ride and handle the same since they have different springs and are less adjustable.
The original Sport Suspension Plus was harsh, even after getting rid of the runflats. I do miss the steering response of the run flats and wonder if they would be tolerable with ST coilovers.
 Are you leaving it as bare CF or are you going to paint it?

I bought a used R53 and the hood was banged up. Got this for a steal. Less than a bare metal hood. Way less.
Leave it bare. What's the point of spending all that money and not showing it off? I mean, whats the point of saving all that weight and then putting a few ounces of paint on it...

Well mine was sort of a Daily Driver and I just needed a new BPV but I HATE the way it jerks, and shifts now after installing it. I wont bash the BPV its doing what it needs to just not at all what I wanted or expected. I lost over 3-5 MPG as well.
Ah, yes, I do fill a little bit rougher shifts, but I it doesn't really bother me so much yet, however, I drove only for couple days, so it might change in the near future....
