Picked my car up from the dealer. I had check engine code 2096. It was the oxygen sensor and it was replaced under warranty. Apparently MINI extended the warranty on the O2 sensor to 100k miles.....SCORE

I looked at him with raindrops on his bonnet - it's been raining for 15 days now.

Replaced the collapsed hydraulic motor mount on my 2006 R53 MCS. Only 41K miles, and I just finished a trip from New Jersey to New Orleans and back. I don't know how long it's been like that.

After leaving my sunroof completely open the other day, and having a few nasty thunderstorms roll through... I got to tear the entire interior of my car apart. That's one mistake I'll be sure not to make again. On the plus side, I suppose my carpet will be absurdly clean for a little while...

Oh no, that really sucks! At least you are putting a good spin on it... you will have an incredibly clean interior now! Pics when its all put back together.

Welcome to the community!

Also, I would take off that plasti dip ASAP. It's a complete PAIN to take off later when it's faded. I still need to take mine off on some parts of my car. Either paint it or wrap it with vinyl!
Just my 2 cents

Today I cleaned out my intercooler and changed the intercooler boots to M7 silicone ones on my R53

When I cleaned out the intercooler with acetone, I was surprised at how much dried oil was in there! For those that don't know, acetone is clear, and when it came out, it was brownish gold! I have plans on installing an Air/Oil separator to prevent this in the future.

Also, installing the intercooler boots is a pain in the a**, but I fixed my boost leak! Car pulls strong now!

There she is.

Springs hold the filter in place.

The foam end cap. Since the filter is open all the way through and this is the only filtration provided from the end, i will be upgrading the filter soon.

Before install with old CAI.

Old i dont even know the brand CAI

Old and new cowling. Big hole for more cold air.

Newly installed!

I almost ordered one of these the other day. I can't decide between that one and the DDM Works. You pretty happy with it? And, I've gotta ask, how's it sound?

You should get some kind of award for going 366K.....did you do the rebuild yourself?

Im not sure what kind of dip you used but I have always had good luck. I did all the chrome on my r53 and have had it on for years with minimal problems. I have also done the wheels different colors and it peels right off.

I've been happy with it and it sounds AMAZING! You can hear it sucking and the whine is crazy!

This is my car after it's been installed

If you look up "2003 Mini Cooper S Invidia Exhaust" on youtube, there are about 7 videos. Mostly did them for my exhaust, but you can hear the whine/intake as well.

Very impressive, both the total milage and the fact that you did the rebuild yourself. You are a true MINI fan :-)

Last week at Minis on the Dragon Jasper got a WMW front strut tower bar, a WMW 15% super charger pulley, and colder plugs . . . installed by the man himself!

I ordered a Screamin' Demon coil pack and WMW performance plug wires to support the reduced pulley.

I put on some mud flaps and found a nifty spot for my V1's remote display.
