Awesome! Looking to get seats myself. Could you provide more info on the rails and sliders used? Any advice on the airbag light?

I reused factory rails. Just removed the slider mechanism (so, my seat is locked in place and adjusted to my size). As far as airbag light, I had it before (due to some airbag issues, I believe), so I am not sure I am going to try fixing them. I found DIY for R56 that probably can be used to fix the problem on R53. Basically, the guy removed weight mat from original seat and put it under bucket seat. After that he used 2.5Amp to circuit the seat belt (to make it appear as its always plugged in). I am planning to install cage in the future, so not sure I am going to bother with airbag light

You mean your mounts work with the factory rails? Which mount is it?

Yes, they bolted right up to the factory setup. The mounts came with the seats, so no sure what brand are they

Had not so great of a week last week. A South Carolina Pot Hole jumped up and bit my poor MINI right in the front right rim on the way to get some new Michelins!! Got the new tires, but not holding air. New (reconditioned) rim should get here by Wednesday. Can't stand to see her sitting on jacks in the driveway :>(. Excited to see how the Michelins work out. Supposed to be good. Better be for the price!

BTW, I got a terrific price on them at Discount Tire as the Goodyears wore out way before the warranty, so got a nice rebate plus $70 more from Michelin! Yay. $70! More stuff for the MINI or at least 2.75 tanks of "free" gas! MOTOR ON!!

Did my second mod

Something I should have done day 1. I have a 2015 Vert. I removed the headrests from the back seat and gained 50% viewable area out the back window. No one sits back there and I have them in the boot should the occasion arise.

Finally installed my super charger pulley with my boyfriend! He got it for me a year ago for Valentine's day but it's been sitting in the box ever since. He took the initiative this Valentine's day to get the belt, removal tool, and spark plugs. Installation went fairly smoothe, still haven't fired her up because my battery is dead from leaving my headlights on a couple days ago (whoops). We're gunna go jump her in a few and go for a night cruise.

So... what'd you do to your mini today?

I put Jasper to work on Sunday and brought home a coffee table from my sister's house.

A couple of people were surprised that it would fit. It was close, for sure!

is this how the expression started? I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

Drilled out the hole in the airbox bottom to get more air in. Probably going to go more hardcore later, but for now it will do. Not sure whether to Dave.F it, or try and keep the panel filter.

Also started running wires for the aux lights but need to find a way into the cabin, might have to swap the wiring around and head towards our drivers side instead of the passenger side (opposite of your sides).

Had a bit of trouble when I forgot I disconnected the TPS on the throttle body. Wouldn't idle and threw all sorts of codes until I realised what I had done. No damage except to my pride.

A member of our local MINI club brought a new hot water heater home in his R56.

He had to take it out of the box and fold the front passenger seat down.

Put the JCW through it paces over the weekend at Sout West MINI Fest in Prescott, AZ. Thank you Jerry at EuroTechs and Schyler (sp?)for putting it on!!! Drove it through our/Arizonas version of The Dragon. The new Falken tires held just fine on the corners.
Had 4 Dyno runs done while at the car show. My max results were 207.2 Engine HP, 180.1 Wheel HP, 195.3 Engine torque and 177.6 Wheel torque. Not to bad. Hopefully a near future tune will bump my numbers up a little.

Did the rear wiper delete for $1.50. My local bicycle shop gave me several bicycle head set caps. I liked the Kona Bicycle cap since we like to vacation there. I went to Home Depot and bought an Allen head bolt, large washer, lock washer and a wing nut. I left the rubber grommet that was already there but flipped it around.

I put my 06 R53 on the Chassis Dyno last week and she churned out 215 ponies. Changed out the spark plug wires after detecting some random high speed misfire codes (she has 60K on OEM plugs and wires). Put on a set of Magnacore wires (since they are right here local to me) and fired her back up on the dyno........221 HP. Not bad for a $60.00 set of plug wires (all be it the best wires around!) Can anyone recommend a good plug and play aftermarket ignition coil for an 06 R53?

Wow, $10 per horse power, I want some of that! Haha. That's great when a fix like that gives you some unexpected power.
