What did you do to your mini today?
I read that the Ziza front marker lights might "flash/pulse" when you turn them on, I am not experiencing that to date. I like that the front marker lights and fog lights now match the HID headlights color. Out with the yellow! hehe
Parts list: (for a 2005 R53 MCS so I believe this covers '05-'06)
- Fog Lights – Ziza Platinum White (P/N – 11133) from ECS
- Front Turn Signal – Amber/Orange 63-21-7-160-791 (x2)
- Front Marker Lights – Ziza LED Lights (P/N – 2681740) from ECS
- Front Running Lights – 63-21-7-160-797 (x2)
- Side Turn Signals – Amber/Orange 63-21-7-160-798 (x2)
- Rear Turn Signal Bulbs – 63-21-7-160-790 (x2)
- Rear Brake Light Bulbs – 63-21-7-160-790 (x2)
- Back Up Bulbs – 63-21-7-160-935 (x2)
- License Plate Bulbs – 63-21-7-160-805 (x2)
- Rear Running Lights – 63-21-7-160-797 (x2)
Did an exterior light bulb refresh since I had a fog light bulb, brake light bulb and back up light bulb go down. Every taillight bulb, running light bulb, side turn signal and front end bulb were replaced. The only bulbs I left were the headlight bulbs. I will wait for them to go before replacing those…

Thanks! Thanks to ECS for the parts. From what I can tell, visibility is much better than the factory bulb setup.
From what I have heard (at night), the MINI has a much "cleaner" look now from the front with all the lights matching. My neighbor still thinks my MINI is 2-3 years old...
No more YELLOW!

He is running great again. Just moving across country and think its time for a more dependable car like a corolla or something that I can get in and drive for the remainder of my school years. Or a BMW 1series (dream) haha
Or a new clubman would be cool
What did I do to my Mini today? I crashed it!
It was a blind right turn. The van in front of me went, so I looked left and creeped up. That's when I discovered that he never actually went all the way. I discovered it with Pepper's face.
On the bright side, now I can get that CF hood I wanted! There's always a bright side.

The car itself runs fine, no issues other than the fact that I have one real headlight right now.
Everything marked in red needs to be replaced, and the green is where the headlamp used to connect. The total cost is going to be around $3K for repairs.
I've already ordered the Carbon Creations CF hood, JCW grille, Black grill trim, Black headlight trim, and replacement Spyder headlights. All for under $1,300 with military discounts.
All the brake stuff is here except the Hel lines I bought from the UK. Calipers and carriers are off getting blasted and powder coated, discs, pads and caliper bits are sitting downstairs waiting. Changed filters today, ITG panel for the engine and a new activated carbon one from eBay for me.

Sorry to see the damage to your car - glad you're making lemonade though!
iJDMtoy Projectors... I got an awesome deal on eBay when they went on clearance last spring. Got them for $70. They're great assuming that you can relocate the parking light somewhere else. I redirected them to the LED halo in the headlights.

Also, I had other ideas for parking lights before I came across the Spyder headlights... You could use grill mounted driving lights, or bumper mounted LED bars.

Put this in today. 5 minutes to get the mount out, 30 minutes to get it back in. I went for a 20 minute ride and here are my first impressions........ Definitely smoother shifts and acceleration. There's some vibration when starting from a standstill up to 1500 - 2000 rpm's but no vibration beyond that or during idle. Overall I'm pretty happy with it.
Nice! Did you paint the calipers yourself? I had mine powder-coated last winter.

Flushed out the brake lines and clutch system on my R53. Hate to admit it, but the last time this was done was back in 2008.
The fluid in the reservoir is so clean now that you need a flashlight to see it in there.
It was amazing how long it took to bleed the old junk out of the lines, especially those rear brake lines. The stuff that came out looks like moderately dirty motor oil in the waste jug I put it into.
Might be my imagination, but my clutch pedal is more tactile now.
Project for this weekend: flush out the coolant.

Those look chunky for Comp-2's, they the All Seasons?
Really like that orange, well done.
