I prevented mine from getting rear ended and flooded out! Torrential downpours and flash flooding struck my area this morning and as I attempted commuting to work, I made the decision to turn back around, call out and go back home. On my way, various roads were blocked off. One of the main ones wasn’t and I realized the water was too deep for me to feel comfortable chancing it so I stopped. The guy behind me wasn’t paying attention and thankfully I didn’t have my music blasting because I was able to hear him wet screeching to a hard stop and veering off to the left of me to avoid a collision. As soon as I saw him I gunned it forewrd give him more stopping room. Made a K turn and drove home with some rattled nerves.

go slow parts
Going against the grain a bit. Everyone wants to make their Mini go faster. I have been spending money lately on slowing the Mini down. Just "invested" in some slowdown parts:
The rude awakening is slow down parts are no less costly as the go fast parts.
only if Mini is a horse and this slow down part can be had for $79.95
- Stainless steel caliper pistons for the BBK
- Racing pads for the BBK (3 sets)
- pad spacers for the BBK
- Titanium pad shims for the BBK

let me know what you think if you can. Next round of brakes, i want to keep centric rotors but switch Hawk HPS to EBC Red. Was not totally happy with the Hawks.

New wheels and rubber!
Dropping these of today to get a set of Cooper Zeon RS3-g1's installed! Can't wait to get it on the car! Figured I will wait for winter to be gone, else I might of had them on the car a month ago!
I know right, this spring, I mean Winter part 2, was ridiculous!
2009 MC Justa CR/B
Just got a box of parts from ECS. Changed to O-Ring on my vacuum pump to hopefully stop a leak and oil burning smell. Hope it does the trick.
NOTE TO GROUP - it's SO EASY TO DO - don't pay anyone to do it. Especially with an MC, it's so easy to access - literally 2 bolts.
Next: 4 spark plugs and 2 coils if needed (bought just in case), then cleaning out the two VANOS solenoids. If my confidence remains high, will try to replace the chain tensioner as a precautionary measure.
