What did you do to your mini today?
But, I (one of the local guys did most of the work) did install the yellow Powerflex engine mount inserts yesterday. You are right. Starting off from a standing stop and shifting are so much better and smoother. Hands down my first suggestion for what to do to a gen2 car. Best $40 ever spent.
Spent some time on him today....
He is running well at the moment.
- Inspected underneath for issues and cleaned things up
- Inspected brakes, checked/measured pads
- Measured tire tread depth and rotated tires
- Due for annual oil change
- Bled / replaced brake fluid (0% moisture now)
- Charged up the battery
He is running well at the moment.

We had sleet today. I've been waiting for the April snow storm...

Over the last couple days but..
Replaced leaking valve cover. Spark plug tube 3 was absolutely flooded with oil. Job wasn’t too bad with my dad helping but there were a couple minor speed bumps. Car drives better after that.
Replaced broken antenna base. Dealer wanted to charge almost $700 for JUST LABOR. Indy shop wanted to charge around $180. I already knew what had to be done based on a YouTube video and it seemed tedious but not too bad. Turned out my dad and I got it done in 30 minutes, no sweat. Happy about that.
Installed NM power module. I was getting limp mode and “2C57 charging pressure control plausibility pressure too low” before the Valve cover fix. Thought the new valve cover fixed it but I got it again when driving with the installed power module on High. Cleared the code and set it to low. I’m hoping that the code was just from the power module this time and not something else.

Switched to A/S 3+ just last week. Driving is so much smoother now and the freeway quieter. There was a noticeable difference. Looks like I'm going to have to dry the PS4S at some point.

Your car does shine up nicely! Looking good.
My MINI got a new set of Bridgestone RE71Rs, that went straight into the basement until warmer weather settles in. For new it remains a garage queen.
