The tires didn't come in yesterday. So, going to try again today.

But, I (one of the local guys did most of the work) did install the yellow Powerflex engine mount inserts yesterday. You are right. Starting off from a standing stop and shifting are so much better and smoother. Hands down my first suggestion for what to do to a gen2 car. Best $40 ever spent.

Determined I can fit more than a 1/6 barrel in it! Who says these things have no cargo space? It will easily fit a tall 1/4 barrel, probably even a 1/2 barrel.

That sucks, but better to have it happen at home than on the way to the Dragon.

Spent some time on him today....
  • Inspected underneath for issues and cleaned things up
  • Inspected brakes, checked/measured pads
  • Measured tire tread depth and rotated tires
  • Due for annual oil change
  • Bled / replaced brake fluid (0% moisture now)
  • Charged up the battery

He is running well at the moment.

And here I sit, watching the snow come down and accumulating on the ground and trees around here. Tough to think of wings and things today. But new RE71Rs arrived today at my tire installer’s shop. ‘‘Tis to dream that they will see a warm day.

We had sleet today. I've been waiting for the April snow storm...

Lowered the back of my 05 JCW, reset the caster.
May have to go thru the same process one more time though.

Got some Pilot Sport A/S 3s mounted on my new wheels. Rides so much smoother and quieter than my old tires.

Re-soled with Michelin PS4S today. Just one word. WOW!!!!!

I expected some improvement over the Pilot A/S3s but I can't believe how much more responsive the car is. Even the ride is smoother and quieter.

Over the last couple days but..
Replaced leaking valve cover. Spark plug tube 3 was absolutely flooded with oil. Job wasn’t too bad with my dad helping but there were a couple minor speed bumps. Car drives better after that.
Replaced broken antenna base. Dealer wanted to charge almost $700 for JUST LABOR. Indy shop wanted to charge around $180. I already knew what had to be done based on a YouTube video and it seemed tedious but not too bad. Turned out my dad and I got it done in 30 minutes, no sweat. Happy about that.
Installed NM power module. I was getting limp mode and “2C57 charging pressure control plausibility pressure too low” before the Valve cover fix. Thought the new valve cover fixed it but I got it again when driving with the installed power module on High. Cleared the code and set it to low. I’m hoping that the code was just from the power module this time and not something else.

Switched to A/S 3+ just last week. Driving is so much smoother now and the freeway quieter. There was a noticeable difference. Looks like I'm going to have to dry the PS4S at some point.

Got my R56/GP rear Aluminum Trailing Arms installed:

Also got my Bosch 380cc injectors installed and changed the injector connectors to EV6/USCar (so no adapters needed),

The A/S3+ are supposed to be a huge improvement over the A/S3.

Because MA doesn’t have wildfires, torrential rains and mud slides?

Your car does shine up nicely! Looking good.

My MINI got a new set of Bridgestone RE71Rs, that went straight into the basement until warmer weather settles in. For new it remains a garage queen.

Just ticked over 36K miles on the Mini this morning. To celebrate, I ordered a set of studs and lug nuts that DT is going to install at the Dragon for me.
