Here's what I have done (not entirely today) but to date:
Mini me
- I pimped up my ride w/ painting of the side mirror covers and matching brake vent trim red
- Replaced air filter w/ reusable K&N
- Just replaced the spark plugs
- Replaced one coil pack that had some surface rust (noticed while changing spark plugs)
- The usual, 5w-40 synthetic when necessary (to keep it simple for all my cars), oil filter
- Replaced the faded logo on the hood (can you say poor quality Bimmer?)
- Replaced all my halogen lights for LED (canbus error on fog -- gotta fix)
- Stubby antenna
- About to replace rotors w/ slotted and drilled and ceramic pads
- About to replace manual tranny gear oil
Mini me
Super charger oil
Replaced the supercharger oil today.
well just the front side where the pulley is. I used a syringe with a hose. Sucked the old one out. It was black and smelled so bad. Like really bad.
there was a lot oil About half of my 100ml syringe.
Filled it back up until it over flowed.
hope this makes a difference even though it’s only on one side.

Replaced the front bumper cover with a clean no holes one (Sorry for the bad cell phone photo in the second pic. Dark clouds plus the sun was low on the horizon). Also going to install a gominigo license plate holder that showed up in the mail since it's required in Washington state.
I'm trying to make up my mind if I want to keep or remove the stripes down the side, I really didn't like them at first but they have grown on me a bit.
List of other mods I'm considering.

- JCW Pro Exhaust (More pops and burbles are always nice)
- Dinan Elite
- 17x7.5 Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in Gloss Black
- Floating JCW Center Caps
- Euro Blind Spot Mirrors

Put on the summer wheels/tires last
week (Michelin PS4S on Enkei PF01).
Always such a welcome change from
winter tires on heavier rims this time
of year.
Then today made the front Koni Sports
1/4 turn firmer and changed the rear
25.5 mm WMW hollow comp rear bar
from the softest to the middle setting.
Another welcome change.

Today I drove my MINI with the top down for the first time! <3
I have had the car for about a month now. I haven't done anything major with it. I am just thrilled to finally be able to call myself a MINI owner. I am loving the car and I am so glad I can post in this thread!
Other than drive with the top down, since I bought it, I have:
• Put the plates on.
• Checked the oil. It will need a change, soon.
• Added wiper fluid.
• Got the rally lights working. (I guess just looking at the wiring was all it took because I didn't actually do anything. They just started working. Beats me.)
• Replaced a bumper bulb.
• Cleaned up the wheels with some of that iron-removing type cleaner.
• Gave it a wash.
• I ordered some color-correct touch-up paint and filled in a couple little paint chips to prevent rust.
• Bought some blue metal valve stem caps and put those on.
• The Stormproof cover I ordered from MiniMania came in yesterday. It is covered at the moment. It came it just in time because it is raining, now!
• Put air in the tires when the low pressure light came on a few weeks ago. The light has come back on, so I may have a slow leak or something.
I think that's it ... I finally had to put gas in it for the first time a few days ago. I'm not hardly driving anywhere with the whole country being shut down. It's the first time I can remember buying 93, but I am sure I must have at some point, probably back when my parents both had Volkswagen 1.8T's.
My next task is to fix one of the key fobs that isn't working. It's for an R52, so I am going to have to dissect and glue it back together, apparently.

And solder in the new battery. I did it on both of my keys and it isn't hard if you are competant at soldering. I just followed a well written tutorial online and it worked great. I did lightly sand down the surfaces on the keys that were glued back together.

Just found this thread.. very cool.
Since I have been on lock down thank to COVID I have had plenty of time to do stuff to the new Mini... I only have 400 on the ODO and miles are hard to come by.
So I have blacked out all the trim, swapped out the door handles (thanks guys @ECSTuning for getting me sorted with my questions), front grill, headlights ring, cooper logo and tail light trim. I added the stripes (lucky for me I have a vinyl cutter) and the cold air intake. Hardwired my radar detector with a new Blendmount.
I ordered the 18X8 inch Enkei TS10 and tires on Friday should be here the first week of May... So work in progress. I want to get an exhaust that is not too loud but has character and a tune. So plenty of work to do.
Thanks to this site for all the information, very cool place for sure.

Yesterday I got the one ball modded exhaust I picked up installed. Took a bit more fiddling due to previous mods by a previous owner. So far we like it. Much quieter than the crappy Ebay exhaust with broken baffles that was on the car. Quiet inside, and some nice noises when you get on it. I do miss the burble and pop from the loud exhaust, but it's nice to be comfortable at a cruise.
Mounting two tires tomorrow, then the summer rollers go back on.

Got my rims and tires on the other day , sideskirt wings and front lip. I've also removed all the red trim I plastidipped and took off all the decals and stickers I added .
I'm completly changing up the way my car looked. I'm doing a few hours a day as my back allows and waiting on the parts to arrive in the mail. It's all visual things I'm doing rite now. I'm very happy with where it's at performance wise ALTHOUGH I been looking at cheap adjustable coilovers but only want a set that allows for stock ride height as i might have rub issues with it lowered because of my aggressive rim fitment.
I also changed out every single fluid and pulled out a dent that has always bugged me. I hate ANY body flaws.

What dent puller are you using? Looks like it might be perfect for a door dent I have on my pickup.. Thx and nice looking MINI!
Replaced the 7 years old original battery that started to show its age. Went with the same 60Ah rating, so no coding was required.
My 2013 MCS R56 is equipped with IBS unit, so new battery registration was needed (I used Tools32).
The entire process took about 30 minutes with most of time spent on putting the stubborn battery cover panel back in place.
