What did you do to your mini today?
i have lots of vibrations. I don’t mind it. I have powerflex lower engine mounts and transmission as well
I've been looking for an air plate diverter --- I was planning on getting a fiberglass one from M7 but put it off for too long and now neither it nor the carbon version is available anywhere.
Is yours made by M7?
Or another company?
Or perhaps you made it yourself?

Exterior detail, still have to do the wheels and interior. But I took advantage of a couple days of nice weather to details the daily drivers. Wash, clay bar, hand polish some problematic spots, wax, and sealant.
I've really begun to dig the understated look of my car. So many minis have a different color roof, mirrors, accessories, chrome, stripes, etc. They look good with an aesthetic strip down. I think I'm going to black out the belt line but keep the chrome handles, gas door, headlights, and grill.

Thanks! I spent yesterday finishing the interior on both cars and washing the classic. The classic stays in the garage, so I can detail it even with today's weather. I've really been enjoying the detailing work, the cost to time ratio is perfect for quarentime.
Yesterday, Yjsaabman gave me his ebay exhaust with the rattling mufflers, I'm going to try my hand at making an exhaust. I run a JCW with the resonator removed right now. It has a nice sound, but I like my cars louder, so this will be a good experiment.

Yes i have that part too. Cheaper ones. But didn’t have adhesive. The ones i got has is more dense foam with adhesive and expands to 1”. And i like the color better than the grey. Matches the existing foam. Gonna return the grey 3 dollar foam. Or might use that for the radiator sides since it’s a little thicker.

But the valve cover gasket is next and spark plug seals. Looks straightforward.

I have a ball on a string in the garage so I know where to stop. Apparently this became a play toy for some feral cats or kittens (the only thing I can think of that might have done this). They must have play it for a long time on top of the bonnet of our R50 and part of that play involved sliding down the curve by the driver’s side headlight. Now that whole area of the bonnet looks like someone took steel wool to it. So part of today was working to polish out at least the lighter of the scratches those felines left behind...
The other part of the day was spent under that car to replace the band clamp that was used to join 2 sections of the exhaust system that I put in a few years back. The clamp must have been plain steel as it totally rotted out. Fortunately I was smart back then and put never seize on the bolts and nuts and the impact wrench had no problem taking it apart. The replacement I got is SS, so hopefully that lasts longer. But that one didn’t seal up as well. I think in the not too distant future I’ll get a Miltek SS system for it. That should be fun.

I did wheels today. Wheel day is like leg day, skip it. The Penetrol is holding up really well on the black trim.
Replaced my battery in my R52 and the R58 JCW battery finally went, was at 10v and ready to get worse.
Cleaned up the R58 and i had tested fitted the AEM N14 intake, so it fits the N14 JCW also
I have a forge intercooler going on the R58 and i need to get my factory aero kit on the R52. Got the last factory in the world before it went NLA a couple years ago..

I upset my car, it has a code for a very small evap leak after the fuel filter job. I must have disturbed something, the car threw the same code 4 years ago and it went away after I smoke tested it, so I didn't do anything. Now I'll actually have to find the issue.
