Car started and took me to the store.

 

Installed rear adjustable control arms on Saturday, oil change today. Tuesday, alignment.

 

Chasing a fuel/electrical problem for past 4 days with no luck on my ‘06 R53. On the upside I finally replaced the missing engine compartment battery terminal cover.

 

Today I changed the drive belt on my 2012 R56.

I use the same threshold/baseline... no spare parts after everything is put back together. lol

Polished up my hazy headlights the other day and now I can't decide on what project comes next - Trouble shoot door lock issues or start the headliner. Neither has me too excited but both need to be done.

 

Hello folks! I replaced the coolant tank in my 06 MCS and gave it a wash. I may pull the intercooler off to clean it and see if there is any oil in there, considering adding an oil catch can.

I am almost one week into ownership after trading for my beloved Miata. So far I am happy with the trade, good times!

here is more info on my car from my first post.

 

Installed a new CSF all aluminum radiator, new foam surround, rubber bushings, etc. and thermostat. When the car was in service mode I cleaned all the visible engine and body parts.

 

Changed out the clamps on my powersteering resevoir. Found they were leaking.

 

My dual gauges on my steering column had a display issue on the tach. The number were not looking good. Kind of faded. So I cracked open my old tach an removed the display. Swapped it out on the dual gauges. Wala look perfect . Numbers look nice a crisp again.

 

If you want to give the intercooler a cleaning...best to use Non-Chlorinated parts / brake cleaner...CRC makes it.

Comes in a green colored can...not the red.

Either stand it on end to drip dry in the sun while working on something else, or if in a rush can blow some air through it....

 

Added an H&R 27mm FSB, Ireland Engineering adjustable front end links and upgraded from Madness Autoworks to Powerflex black FCABs.

Kind of a fun day.

 

That is the one I have. Do you have a big rear sway bar to go with it?

 

I added the Ireland Engineering 22mm hollow bar a few years back. I run it on the medium setting, but now I’m probably going to go full stiff. Years ago I had an E36 with thicker front and read bars and it was so unbelievably planted. I’m hoping to get the same vibe from this.

 

Not too much today. Clay barred, rubbed, and then polished one more panel. Tomorrow I am off to the salvage yard in the hopes of finding a headliner donor.

 

Get the material an do it yourself. Not hard.

 

I have the 25mm hollow rear sway bar set on soft and really like the way it and the 27mm front bar work together. It has been this way for a number of years now, with a number of track days and have had no real desire to change it, I like it that much. You should like yours...

 

Loving it so far. Took her on a quick blast through a few places where she really like to get loose and man did she feel solid. I’ve got a date with Roebling Road in July, I can’t wait to see how she does on track!

 

It will like trail braking deeper into corners now and will corner very flat. But the added roll stiffness means that it will be less sensitive to throttle steering. You should find it very neutral and forgiving. Enjoy!

Took a ride to support one of our favorite local breweries in Harrisburg and saw a good opportunity for a pic.

 

Took care of a bit of rust in one of the usual places. Not bad for 17 years old. The other side was still a-ok.

 

Took the F60 to the beach. This thing is great for road trips and spontaneous adventures.
